Very small.
Always check the reviews and buyer questions! It is very cute but way too small for my adult teddy bear hamster. The opening is only two inches across. He wont even try it. There is no way in hades a chinchilla would fit in this thing! The description is a bit deceptive.

Great quality!
Great quality, especially for the price! This product is adorable and perfect for sand baths. It took my hamster about and hour and a half to figure out how to use it and now he uses it every day. It is super easy to wash.

Perfect size and so cute
Both of my robo hamsters absolutely love these. I tried them as sand baths but they both kicked the sand out. They prefer these as a bed and store food in them. I put them in the tight corner and my babies put bedding all over them. (Pictutes are before the mound of bedding I put in).The hideouts are so cute and the seller is great. One of them came broken and the seller sent me a new one so quickly.

The best hamster hut ever! Highly recommend
This is the best hamster hut ever! My winter white hamster, Trixie is absolutely OBSESSED with this thing! I put it in her cage and she immediately stepped into it without hesitation. I love the space it gives to enter into the hut, and the space to take a few steps around in it. Definitely 5 stars.

Perfect Hideout for my Mice
I have 2 mice that LOVE this hideout! I filled it with toilet paper bedding and they nap in it all the time. Easy to clean too!

Not big enough for a chinchilla
Lesson learned....I will pay more attention to reviews. I didn't scroll far enough and that was my mistake but it said it would fit a chinchilla when it clearly won't. If I can't find someone local to buy it I will be returning it. That said it is cute for the size it is.
