All you need to get spraying is a male coupling and your air hose to fit, you can get the coupling at any hardware store for about $4.00

It all depends on how thin the stuff is. For this gun it needs to be fairly thin.

Will this work with oil base polyurethane?

Yes: Works Well but be sure to clean good when finished

Can i leave paint in the canister, seal it, and reuse the next time?

Yes,if it's not left too long . I wouldn't leave it for more then a few days.
