The story is set in the hills, where Warren and Emma have set up their home. However, when the couple discover that their chickens are being stolen by a wolf, Warren knows he must do something to stop it from happening again. Therefore, one day, he sets out with his gun to track down the wolf. But what he discovers out there in the forest, makes him change his mind. To say anymore, would only spoil it for the readers.This is such a delightful short story it will melt your heart. I thoroughly recommend this read for adults and children alike.

What unfolds is an enchanting story which will change Warren's life forever.....'Wolf' is a beautiful short story which will appeal to all ages. I have always had a fascination for the wolf, ever since I saw them at a wildlife park as a teenager. As soon as I looked into their eyes, I was immediately captivated. The wolf is such a beautiful animal and is so often misunderstood. I love the way the writer has not only written this special story, but also included information on the wolf as an endangered species, which gives the reader an insight into the backgound of this magnificent animal. 'Wolf' is a delightful book to read!!

The world is a cruel place for the vulnerable. I'm thinking of animals. Animals can't hire attorneys, petition politicians or protest in any way their treatment. No one knows that better than the author.This story written by the incomparable Harry Porter is a gem. He opens by giving us some history about wolves. Then we get the story and it's good! A couple are losing hens to a predatory wolf. That's it basically. He and his wife need to do something, what they wind up doing is great. It is perfect as a matter of fact. And serves to be a lesson for all of us with enough grey cells and heart to appreciate it.

Started reading this book and never realised how many species of Wolf they where. So learned something new.The story showed how a father wolf helped his family even though he was injured . It fetched a tear to my eye. Wont say anymore don't want to spoil the story for other readers,

Apart from being a good story this book also shows us that making spur of the moment decisions can be vital. Without giving this story away, a decision must be made in wolf. When the time comes, ask yourself what would you do. Then read on to see if the right decision was made.

Truely a message to be learnt from this book could have read it forever.
