solid blade nice and sharp. sadly the brass guard fits crookedly. ill figure something out.

i ordered 2 and while similar the quality control for both guard and blade blanks makes it so that i essentially bought 2 different knives they're still worth it given how cheap they are just expect what you pay for.

This is a good knife for a starting kit maker, but the steel is questionable quality, and it is not to be taken seriously in terms of anything other than a hobby project. Five stars for cost and they included a guard.This is almost surely more of a "decoration" than a functional knife that will hold up to actual use.

Great for knife makers to dress this knife up with your own look of handle. The knife was top quality and arrived quickly. I got two of these. I would recommend this to anyone into crafts and some one who wants to add their special style.

At this price I did expect low quality steel but that was ok as I was making a decoration piece, not a functional tool. However, the blank I received was not the one pictured. What they sent was a much more rectangular handle that was asymmetrical and the holes are both off center and too tiny to use anyway. I will need to redrill new holes in order make this even usable. If this was for a customer, the extra work needed would be cutting into my profit.

The knife that I got did not have the same handle as pictured which wouldnt be such a big deal but the handle was not symmetrical and the outer edges were sharp and uneven on both sides. Further more because the handle is not symmetrical the holes where also not centered, I had to drill two new holes (pictured) that helped center the scales I wanted to put so it didnt look ridiculous. I will not be buying this knife again and would highly recommend to be ready to grind to a better shape not just add scales.

As others have said the handle shape is NOT the one from the picture. I cannot complain for a $15 blade blank but it would have been nice to actually get the blade that was pictured.
