The installation was easy because it fit perfect; I had to unscrew a few phillips head and torx screws, replace and reassemble.I bought this because I had a broken trigger and a crack by the trigger on Dyson V11. I took this a step further and also added a metal trigger; it required a little more disassembly of this part.Works perfect now.

I dropped my vacuum and cracked it. That caused the trigger to stick in the on position. This was a perfect replacement with a perfect fit and easy assembly because it includes the trigger already installed.

Would buy again.

I ordered this for my Dyson V11 and it fit and worked perfectly. Solved the issue with the vacuum not shutting off after the handle switch released.

Good news: it is a genuine OEM Dyson part, not some cheap reproduction. But it is most definitely used, contrary to to their statements in both the description and their packaging. There are clearly scratch marks on the battery connectors and part of the serial # has been melted off to obscure its origin. While the overall condition of the one I received is pretty good, the dust lodged in some of the crevasses along with tell-tale wipe marks tells me this company is likely a chop shop that's harvesting and reselling parts from warranty returns.To be clear, I'm not above recycling parts to reduce waste. But don't lie about it in your description and don't charge a "new part" price. Given that this part is already chintzy and prone to cracking causing battery/trigger issues, I'm not real enthused about using it.

I purchased this because the trigger on my Dyson SV14 was broken, as it is prone to do. The trigger in this replacement unit was broken when it arrived. I was able to cope because I had previously purchased a new trigger, and was able to install it.
