Great product
I lost the plastic piece that held my seat-belt up when the seat-belt got slammed in the door. I tried everything i could and everything kept falling off. I found this item on Amazon and it works perfectly. It takes a little effort to get it to close when you install it (I used pliers) but once its clicked, it's on! Just use a pair of pliers to close the two pieces together and make sure they click shut.Like others say, once together, the little plastic piece sticks out and can potentially poke you. I just clipped it off with a razor blade and voila, no poke! Install took about 3 minutes and it has been on ever since. the bonus is that it comes with two, so if you ever need it for the other seat-belt, you have one available. After purchasing, i saw these in the "HELP" section of my local auto parts store. It was about $3 more than what I paid on Amazon, and I din't have to drive to the store to get it!

Worked as good as the original
I made the mistake of closing my door on my seat belt and it smashed the seat belt stop on my 2007 Cadillac CTS. Not until later that I noticed that the seat belt stop had been shattered in two bits on the floor of my car. Now my belt buckle was falling down to the bottom meaning that I had to search for it on the floor before I could buckle it before each drive. It was a bit of a hassle. My Caddie dealer is not close and didn't want to bring it in just for this minor repair having just brought it in for a number of other services. This replacement worked fine and was easy to install per the instructions and would recommended for this model car and any that are compatible with this kit.

Exactly what I needed
I bought my vehicle a few years back, and did not notice the button was completely missing to hold my seatbelt. So, of course I went to the dealer and I believe they wanted over forty dollars for the same product. I finally got around to ordering some things online and found these. They came very timely and work great! Easy to install and a great product. My only thought about possible future products is to maybe offer different colors. My belt is grey along with everything else, so the button kind of blends in...but, if I could have found them in grey I would be even more ecstatic. Overall, this was a great buy for the price and now I no longer have to reach down and grab my seatbelt everytime I get in the car!!! YAY for Dorman!!!

A good idea if you've ever had to dig for your seatbelt buckle
More than once I've had the stop on my seatbelt disappear, and as a result the buckle will slide down to the lower anchor, making buckling up that much more of a chore. This is OEM equipment that is easy to install, and corrects that problem. Just find that hole where the original was attached, and apply one of these stops with a pair of pliers (not mentioned as being needed on the package, but you get the idea). One good squeeze and you're done. One note about Dorman products. Every product description is the same "boiler plate" company statement of their quality, with no mention of the virtues or applications of that particular product. It's the same on their web site. This is a good company, with good products, so I wish they would spend a little time stating facts about each product.

Dorman HELP! 74357 Seatbelt Stop Kit
A great item: I recently purchased a 2012 Toyota Highlander and do not like the seat belts position. It is between the seat about 8 inches too far down to be able to grab easily after sitting in the seat, both drivers and passengers side are this way. I have looked at many others and they seem to be in the same place, but their seats are not quite as wide or may be wider between the seats & door pillar where belt attaches. I bought these black buttons which are like the original Toyota buttons (which are gray & a little thinner). I would prefer the thinner button as it fits in a grove made on the inside of the belts chrome piece a little better,so it must be centered correctly to align with this center groove. I pushed the Dorman button with the sharp end into the center of the belt 8 inches further up than the original. After pushing it in,carefully use a file to remove the sharp tip just a little to just take off the tips sharpness,do this before pushing the other piece of the button on-this way the tip will not be sticking out when finished regardless of the belt thickness as the tip is just for pushing through the belt & not needed again. Once it is through the belt just snap the other end by pushing from the center with your thumb & fingers until you here the snap that is now locked in place-Done! Now when I reach for the belt while in the seat it is up where it can be grabbed easily, I had been using a money clip which worked also, but this fix is so cheap & I can not see the black colored button until I'm buckled up,but who is looking around your stomach area where it ends up when in use! You do not have to remove the original button unless you want to. If just repairing a broken button I would put the button just a little higher & start off with a new hole & let the new button hide the old hole in the belt if it is loose-this choice would be left up to each person. I highly recommend this item for both repairing & replacement of the button. This takes about 10 minutes each side, and is very user friendly. Note: Krylon paint makes a Fusion paint for plastic if one would like to paint and let dry overnight prior to installing. Then you can paint a factory color over the dried Krylon paint if paint does not match-spray paint lightly also. Hope this info helps!

These don't snap tight and have fallen off
These look exactly like what I needed, but they don't snap together all the way. I don't know if they were designed for really thin seat belts, but mine won't snap together once they are on the belt. Even as tight as I can go the point sticks out the otherwise and can scratch.Them not closing all the way makes it easy for the back to come off. This happened and when I went to reach next to me I got a huge gash from the sharp pointy part. The only thing I can think of is to super glue them together. Although that is a work around for a poorly designed product.

Very tough to snap together (and a bit dangerous!), but they do work
I used these on my 2 year old son's car seat straps to keep him from pushing the chest snap down and climbing out of his car seat (he's a hybrid cross between a crazed monkey and Houdini). They worked perfectly for that use, but were quite difficult to snap together. More importantly, the point protrudes down past the bottom of the backing, so on the first one, as I was straining hard to get the thing snapped together, it finally did snap in....all the way into my thumb that was pushing on the backing. Ouch! On the remaining 3 snaps, I used a set of channel lock pliers with a piece of cardboard in between the pliers and the snap to protect it. That worked just fine. I did also clip off the protruding point so it couldn't scrape/cut my son.If the point didn't protrude unsafely through the backing I would have given this 4/5 stars, but it's just not very safe, although it's easy to remedy if you know about it.

Works Perfectly
Summary: Wow, these fit just perfect and was pretty easy to install - actually, it took about 30 seconds - just locate the "indentation" from the original stop on your Seatbelt, take one side of the dorman and place it on it, press the other side on the opposite side of the seatbelt, push together and you are done.Rating: Rated this 5 Stars for 1) the Price which is pretty cheap, 2) the ease of installation and 3) the functionality - it does what it is suppose to do.Like/Dislike: Love it.Recommend To Others: Yes, if your Seatbelt is missing a "stop or dorman", just order this and you are back in business - it beats searching for the Seatbelt each time you get in the car.Thank you again Amazon and Vendors - you are the BEST.
