Wahoo FitnessWahoo TRACKR Heart Rate Monitor

I’ve had a Wahoo TICKR for years, but keep leaving it in my bag at the gym, so I thought I’d get another one for home. I like the fact that it’s USB-C rechargeable, rather than using those silly CR2032 quarter-sized batteries. Pairing it with the Wahoo app and my biking app (Cyclemeter) was a piece of cake — it seems much less finicky than the TICKR. The hook on the strap is a little tricky, at least for those of us not used to wearing a bra, but once you figure it out it’s not difficult. I’ve used it a few times and so far it works great. No disconnects or drops, and the strap is comfortable. I’m very happy with it.

Connects well, accurate, comfortable, battery last a while

I was looking for a Heart Rate Monitor that works with Zwift. I tried 2 that were under $30 and neither worked consistently. One did not stay linked at all and one gave me some very odd readings. The Wahoo version was definitely the most expensive but it worked right out of the box. Another plus for me is that it is rechargeable so I don't have to fuss with taking the battery in and out of the device. I was finding that to be fidgety. Therefore, for me, it was money well spent!!!

This is a fantastic heart rate monitor and is worth the premium price. After nearly a year of using it exclusively, water hasn't penetrated it, and it remains as accurate and reliable as the day I got it. The battery life is great - it needs a charge every 6-8 weeks or so. My only complaint is that the strap came with it didn't fit me. If you're a bigger guy like me, you'll need to use a 3rd party strap with the heart rate monitor. That was just fine because I had a large collection of straps from failed heart rate monitors from Garmin, Polar, etc. If you don't have an extra strap, you'll need to get one to use this.

I used previous version and liked it. Unfortunately it end up in washing machine and I got a new one. Connectivity is excellent with my bike computer. The best thing it does not have battery anymore but hold charge very well. Now for 5-6 hours from first charge and still 80%. Recommended.

I bought this in September 2024 and it dies in January 2025, so 4 months of life. I spin 5x/week and sweat a lot and this device can't deal with that. Bad decision on my part to buy a bad product. Avoid. Edit - After my bad experience with Wahoo, I bought a Polar H9 for $70. It has a replaceable "coin" battery and a very good app. It's just a better product than Wahoo, by far. Anyway if you're still deciding, I suggest checking out Polar. Less expensive, more functional, much better value.

I enjoy using this and it seems very accurate. The app also synchs with other software like Apple Health and Strava. It is way more dependable for heart rate monitoring than my Fitbit Sense 2 watch. As I am measuring and trying to improve zone 2 training it’s ideal.

This is my first ever HR monitor. Really easy to use and connect. Comfortable to wear, and easily adjustable. I use with my wahoo bike computer, but also connect to my Apple Watch for more accurate HR monitoring during runs. Also use with Zwift, connects seamlessly through the software. Battery life is excellent, having completed a full day of riding with no issues. Would highly recommend this to anyone with a Wahoo set up, Zwift or Apple Watch.
