Best dry beef ever.

Sending gifts to my son while he was at basic and wanted a really good quality jerky. He absolutely absolutely adored this jerky.

Note, before writing this I did contact the seller directly and there was no response. I've ordered this product many times over the past and its always been great, but this time the jerky is dry/hard/stale. you cant really even chew it. The "best by" date is not expired, so I'd say its poor product quality, I'll be looking to buy it someplace else from now on. Disappointing too not to hear back from the seller ... so beware

I'm always looking for ways to supplement my diet with more protein. I've been snacking on various kinds of jerky to curb hunger between meals. Recently I discovered biltong. While the flavors are similar to jerky, biltong has a different texture. Jerky is cut into rather large pieces and is often stringy, due to tendon and other connective tissue. Biltong on the other hand is thinly sliced and, to me, easier and less work (therefore more enjoyable) to eat. I've only tried two brands of biltong, Stryve and Kalahari. Flavor is comparable. But Stryve is a bit thicker than Kalahari. And based on my initial comments comparing jerky, Kalahari is my preferred brand of biltong. Stryve is less expensive and is worth a try and still 100% recommended, I just prefer the other brand.

Used to be very impressed. As they have gotten more and more significant in the market their quality has gone down the toilet. Shipments now almost not edible. It’s a shame.

We been purchasing this brand since they released in Walmart. We recently purchased through Amazon and the recipe has changed! The biltong is no longer tender, succulent, and melt in ur mouth. We bought the 4 pack and each bag was super dry and tough to chew. Not sure what changed but this taste more like jerky than biltong. And for the price, you might as well just buy Jerky instead if you’re gonna receive dry tough cuts of meat

I've never been a jerky guy although I've tried many varieties. Stryve billtong is so much better tasting than jerky - there's just no comparison - and the nutritional value is much superior. I use Stryve billtong sometimes for a meal replacement and sometimes for a snack. For me as a snack, it replaces "health-food bars" (give me a break) and "trail mix" that are full of sugar, carbs, etc. I've lost weight, feel better and eat less junk. Believe it or not, I eat a bag and at least one stick a day. Love my Stryve billtong.

The batch we received from Amazon was dangerously dry. It was inedible and Amazon would not support a refund. Fortunately the kind support team at stryve made it up with a gift card to their site where I was able to get a fresh batch and oh boy is this stuff tasty. Highly recommended.
