They've still got it
Have loved them since purchasing Birth School Work Death back in 1988. That album was chock full of angry lyrics about what was going on back in 1988, and it's obvious listening to this that age hasn't withered them at all. Primitive Man in particular evokes the spirit of Wilko era Dr Feelgood, and the whole thing clocks in at just over 37 minutes. For those of you like me brought up on vinyl at about 20 mins a side max this "short, sharp no- filler" straight to the heart of the matter approach will be a welcome reminder of how music used to be. Nothing on this album will change the world but you'll have a blast listening to it. The Godfathers then-still raw, still pissed off-it's all good. If new to them Birth School Work Death is the place to start but they haven't released a duffer yet and Jukebox Fury doesn't let the side down.

Brilliant album
Well it's by The Godfather's, really don't need to say anything else to be honest. Another classic from a brilliant band.

back to form!
Glad you're back Boys!Fantastic return to classic Godfathers form. Snarly lyrics (apart from when they get singing about affairs of the heart) combined with fundamental, well executed guitar, bass & drums; this sits alongside the original studio work from the 80s & 90s. This IS THE ANTIDOTE to soulless manufactured ITV prime-time abominations.do yourself a favour buy this and then buy tickets to watch them supporting the stranglers. (UK - March 2013)Particular favourite tracks include the previously released singles, "the outsider" & "Back to the Future". Top ranking must go to the blunt "Primitive Man" which reminds us of some inescapable facts about our origins. Also worthy of mention is "I can't sleep tonight" (out as a single now). The album roams from softer sounds, "Mary Baby" which could be out of 1960s San Francisco through to the aforementioned "Primitive Man" and takes all stops in-between. And there is the obligatory Morricone-influenced "Theme to the end of the world".Listen, enjoy, re-listen, keep enjoying. (repeat until...)

Still on for...
Fantastic album as good as anything they have done in the past. One of the best live bands about they certainly don't disappoint here.
