"Fan"tastic fanbook :)
Great book detailing a lot of the earlier parts of the franchise and world of Naruto. Made by fans, for fans. This book details everything you want to know if you're new to the Naruto manga and/or anime. Certain details that you might have missed or not thought about might be revealed more clearly here. As a bonus, the original One-shot manga of Naruto from 1997 is included too, and is a fun read for any Naruto fan. The one-shot is quite different than how the manga turned out a few years later, but still certain elements remain the same. You'll see ;)

The Official Fanbook
This fanbook for the Naruto manga series is an interesting read that is quite fun in places but is rather dry in others. While probably not as good as the other info books I have read (Bleach: SOULs & Death Note 13: How to Read) it still contains some interesting information for Naruto fans. The book only covers the events up to around volume fifteen or sixteen of the series and as such some of the information is terribly out of date. The book does include some interesting information on the characters, events and locations of the series. This book also includes a few reasonably fun games as well as some nice fan made things such as cosplay pictures and fan-art.The two most interesting things in this book are the interview with Masashi Kishimoto and the original pilot manga for the Naruto series. The pilot manga in particular is very good and in its own way is just as interesting as the series that it became.Overall this was a generally good book but is probably only really of interest to dedicated Naruto fans.

It is a die for book - it is a MUST for Naruto fans.
The book superbly details how Naruto was created. The characters were wonderfully introduced. The brief autobiograghy of the author was very interesting. The first ever story of Naruto, just before the Naruto Unleached episodes was also included in the book

It's ok but.....
Yeah, you should definately buy this book if you are a fan of naruto. Its got loads of profiles on countries and jutsu's, and it has character profile's for the the 5 main characters (Naruto,Sasuke,Sakure,Kakashi,Iruka) and it comes with a mini colour poster, among other things. It isnt a bad piece of Naruto merchandise.However. there is one major problem....IT'S SERIOUSLY DATED!!!The truth is, it only covers about volumes 1-14 of the original manga. Although it was released in Naruto's home country Japan waaaaaay back in 2003, our stupid american viz media (the company which translates anime and manga and brings it over to europe and america) only managed to bring out this book a few years ago in 2008, a full 5 years after it was released in Japan. This, if you think about for about 5 nano-seconds, shows how lazy viz media are at bringing us RECENT naruto fanbooks-since this book's release another 3 or 4 have been released in japan, and viz media havent even got round to releasing them yet.......In other words, this book is good quality stuff, but its unbelievable how such a recently released book can be so outdated. According to this fanbook Naruto hasnt even mastered the rasengan yet!!!
