The 909 Martini Table is made from black walnut and extremely rare flame ambrosia boxelder harvested from the Kansas City area. The majestic red color in the table top occurs naturally when the boxelder tree emits a resin like maple syrup to defend itself from invasive pests. The red resin permanently stains the wood and provides a remarkable design opportunity for the furniture maker. Inspired by Kansas City's art deco past, and named after the 909 Walnut Street building, we shaped black walnut into a unique leg design and paired it with a unique table top shape to provide the perfect setting for your favorite cocktail.
