UPDATE- (After this original) I think we have ordered a total of 4 or 5 of the nine mini mixlings with cauldron and have received only 3 or 4 duplicates. It's a gamble ordering online but I haven't seen them in stores around here in NC and I waited to review so as not to "jynx" our luck :) The cute mixlings have different traits making it a fun experience for kids who like to learn about the "whys" (what makes them glow in the dark?) or simply the mystery of what they'll receive. In the photos I took comparison shots of a 'regular' sized magic mixling from series 3(?) to show how the company kept the same or similar functions but in a smaller version and with more of them for a better monetary value. There is no assembly necessary, I've only seen them here and on a few obscure sites so far so they'd also make good last minute gifts- plus if you opened them and separated you could get more value by adding to gift bags or something- maybe even cake topper, jewelry (patent pending- j.k.) but yeah, it's unlikely many kids will have these or at least not have the whole set! After ordering the set of 20, I wanted to review because I couldnt find images except from one other reviewer and wanted to add ours to compare. Since it made me choose, I opted to simply add to the original review from the packs of nine. From the order of 20 - it was petty much as expected; I kind of hoped they might be a set that was only sold this way so there wouldn't be duplicates but no such luck there, yet there were some new ones. I think each of the four cauldrons had a "new to us" figure and then of the remaining 16 at least half were not duplicates. I don't think I'd order a second set as others stated they received the exact same figures when ordering more than one but I plan on comparing our figures with those posted by the other reviewer.

Purchased these for my 6 year old granddaughter. They are really cute and colorful. A nice quality little play set. They were a fair price. Fun to play with and use your imagination. She loved them. Happy with purchase and would buy again.

Got these toys for birthday present and for another time we love them. Some of them don’t work, but if you don’t mind that I would recommend it.
