Good support for De Quervains
It does a good job at immobilizing the thumb if you have De Quervains. It needs to be washed regularly, but the material dries pretty quickly. I think having two would be useful to cycle between them during washes. Some of the stitching on the thumb part tore within the first few days of using it, but fortunately it hasn’t ripped completely yet. It does work really well for pain relief. The Velcro is a little bit rough and sticks out if you’re trying to handle a baby, so needs a tensor bandage on top to cover the sharp bits.

Thumb spica splint
Easy to use, providing some relief, early days yet though. Competitive price and speedy delivery.

Ok but not quite enough support
The splint is light weight and comfortable apart from the Velcro Argos the thumb , which I put a plaster on my thumb to stop it rubbing. However when I went to my nurse practitioner she said that with acute tendinitis, you need a splint either side of the thumb, which I have now purchased.

Comfortable but prone to sliding around
The metal strengthener keeps coming out if the support slides around. Therefore works for a while then has to be adjusted. May need extra strap to stop it sliding

Much too uncomfortable so returning
Unfortunately didn’t fit properly and was also uncomfortable with the thumb splint. Only ended up causing more pain.

Ok does relieve some pain
This ok, better than some of the others I've tried but not as good as some. The main issue is I think, that I have big hands, so one size fits all isn't really true.I have found that this is too tight around my thumb without it being done up, like many of these types of suppor. That being said it does help to steady the thumb and is one of the better made ones I have tried, the materials are farely hard wearing.Out of the crop I have tried recently this comes a farely close second to the thx4copper version .I have been using this to help relieve de quarvains symptoms.

Good thumb support for the price.Works well
Gives great support to the thumb. It's a little difficult to put on by yourself the first couple of times, but I found if you put the thumb strap on first, it's a little easier to put on. I did find it can rub a little if it's not put on properly, but it is great value for the price. I bought it as I had gashed the pad below my thumb crushing tins to recycle. It immobilised my thumb more than enough to help the healing process. It's comfortable enough to wear all day and night and does its job very well. I would recommend this support for anyone looking for a support to immobilised their thumb. Good support for the money. Great value

I wish I’d bought one of these before!
I bought this for De Quervains Tenosynovitis. After wearing the splint for just 24 hours, pain was significantly reduced and movement of my thumb increased. I’m really pleased with my purchase.
