It works!
I bought this thing figuring that if it didn't work it only cost me $20. I wasn't expecting much. It was definitely worth $20. I'm using it to hold a 10.1 inch tablet in landscape mode. So far I'm very pleased!THE GOOD:It sticks to my dash! I mean, it REALLY sticks to my dash!!! Like most dashboards, mine is kinda textured. It has tiny little hills and valleys, and suction cups just don't stick to it. I was assuming that this thing would come with one of those plastic disks that you have to attach to your dashboard with double-sided tape (like every GPS I've ever owned). It doesn't. But it doesn't need one! The suction cup is made of this super-soft and gummy gel material that oozes into the little crevices of the dashboard. When you push down the little lever it clamps onto the dashboard like it was molded into it at the factory.The piece that holds the tablet is very tight. It's spring-loaded and once the tablet is in place it's not going anywhere unless you're in an accident. It's easy to put the tablet in, and once it's in the table is secure.THE (kinda) BAD(ish):The base attaches to the tablet holder via a ball joint which allows the tablet to swivel left and right and tilt up and down. The ball joint has a limited range of motion. I wanted the tablet angled towards me more than the ball joint would allow. I had to mount the base at an angle in order to get the tablet angled enough. It's not really a big deal, but I'm kinda of anal about everything being square and aligned (former Marine) and it bugs me to have to mount the base cockeyed in order to get the tablet at the right angle.The tablet is a wee bit wobbly, especially when I'm pressing icons on the corners of the display. It's not a big deal, though. At least not to me.Overall I'm happy with this thing. It was definitely worth $20.

if your dashboard has the room for it it's a good mount, easaly fitted, quick with tablet in/tablet out. it could be difficult if the vents in the dashboard take up to much space.

Mount sticks great to the center portion of the textured dashboard in my 2003 Honda Pilot.

Description of item is misleading. BEWARE!!!
This is so misleading. It can not hold any tablet. It can not even fit my Nvidia Shield Tablet. It barely held my Samsung Galaxy Note 3, and I have no idea how it will hold an IPad
