Not real rawhide
As a previous reviewer has stated, this is made of a thick, tanned leather and not actual rawhide. The hammer does pack an appropriately gentle wallop, but I’m not sure the longevity of it as rawhide is tougher and formed permanently into a roll, whereas this held together with a few brass nails.Nice, gently hammer, but not the same as a rawhide.
