It only got better
Update: This expansion really takes Cry Havoc to its full potential. Haters will still hate it, but it fixes some of the round issues, it adds depth to each faction, it provides a lot of choices before the first round, and it adds more cards to the terrain decks. We play the default skill +2-3 skills of your choice. That plus the leader element and the shared structures adds a lot of strategy without requiring players to relearn the game. We played the expansion with no prep. I have always recommended Cry Havoc, and I was a little sad that it got so much undeserved hate, but this expansion makes me want to recommend this even more. Fantastic job! I am a casual gamer who likes area control and I recommend this game and expansion to people who enjoy combat games. Very very cool. OP: To be fair I haven’t played a game with my expansion yet, but I know the game well enough to know that this will add a LOT of replayability, and the new structures are great. I personally think the game is well-balanced, so I don’t believe it needs the expansion to correct balance issues. In a game that is best with 4 and has a lot of decisions, this can only add depth.

Excellent, but not Perfect Expansion.
Cry Havoc Aftermath is an excellent and HIGHLY recommended add on to the Cry Havoc base game. It adds more of what is good in the base game! However, it doesn't fix some of the issues that plague the base game-namely faction imbalance! Now, I know there is a lot of argument on this point among fans of the game, but to many gamers who I've taught the game to the issues is real. IF this expansion had 'fixed' this issue, then it would've been a FIVE STAR add-on. But it didn't, so it loses one star. If you are happy with Cry Havoc, then this expansion is a no-brainer and must own. If you are not happy with Cry Havoc, and feel that the faction imbalance is real, then this expansion will NOT fix the problem. Take your pick.

Good expansion, some issues
This is a good expansion that addresses some of the faction imbalance in the base game, but why should you need to buy an expansion to have a fair game? Also, some tokens contain misprints and the content sheet doesn't show everything that's included in the box. It just seems like the designers didn't care anymore.

An excellent addition to the game. Very high quality components, but I find the price a little high for what you get in this expansion. All copies of Aftermath have a few tokens that were printed with the wrong graphic. Portal Games apologizes for the error, but seems to be refusing to replace them.
