Great, CLEAN & PURE Natural Hair Color!
First, let me say that I have used henna and natural hair color for over 10 years. I have used them all. Some are ok, but you have to mix indigo and henna to get brown and it's really a crap shoot. It takes many, many tries to get the right color. Then there are the colors that are already mixed on Amazon, The Henna Guys for one - colors are good, but they DO mix some synthetic or unnatural ingredients in because I am allergic to many synthetic additives in hair color and when I use theirs my hair falls out in clumps! So not sure what is happening there. Also reds bleed a lot onto towels. My scalp also gets itchy. One time it itched for months! Not sure what went on there. But anyway, this product is ALL NATURAL and it does not bother me in any way. No itch. No hair fallout (or minimal as with any hair color). Easy to mix with water and you don't have to wait an hour before applying it.Now - on to the color. I got the Mahogany because I wanted a touch of red, but I think this color is too red for my hair. My hair pulls red very easily (naturally dark brown with red highlights) and this color was more orange red than I was looking for. I think the BURGUNDY will work better for me. I did get more orange in my gray roots than I like, so I just went over it again a few days later (roots only) with the DARK BROWN. That color is great if you don't want red roots. Sometimes I even use indigo on my roots if too much red pulls up. The indigo is black but sometimes looks blue or green at first, but this changes the next day. Some colors are not on amazon, but they are on their website (EARTHDYE.COM - same company). Please note that these colors DO darken and deepen over time so it takes a few days to see the REAL end result.Overall, a GREAT henna product and natural hair color if you are looking for truly clean and natural. The seller is also great with questions and knows his stuff!! He also has a great FAQ section on the website, so read it if you have questions.

Gentle product great results!
This was recommended to me by a friend who has used this product several times a year. This is my second purchase. My first use the outcome was wonderful. I could tell the difference in my hair. If you decide to henna and do not have someone to give advice on a product or tips, definitely research, ask the company, and do a patch test. I also purchased a great cape kit with mixing bowl and brush, put down a large trash bag and newspaper on a tile floor and had my daughter put the product in my hair. Loved the hues it gave my hair reddish/brown ..bye grey streaks!

mix the henna powder with hot tap water until it's a yogurt like consistency, apply to hair with a plastic applicator ...
I began using henna to color my hair when I was pregnant with my 2nd son because I wanted something natural. The first couple of times it was awkward to use but after 4 years it's become a breeze. Just wash your hair twice with a cheap shampoo (let dry), mix the henna powder with hot tap water until it's a yogurt like consistency, apply to hair with a plastic applicator brush (you can get at beauty supply store for about $1), cover with disposable shower cap (poke holes throughout), and let sit for 1 hour before rinsing. Just rinse, no shampoo for at least 24 hours. My hair grows fast so I have to retouch my gray roots every 3 weeks so I'm so thankful that henna is very affordable. One pack will yield at least 4-5 applications because I only do my roots. The color stays on a long time as long as your everyday shampoo is a sulfate free brand. I use Avalon Organics but I believe Harvest Moon has their own formula as well.

So fast, easy and rich dark cocoa color
This is the second time I have used this brand henna, after using all different kinds for many years. I am impressed with being able to mix this henna using only hot tap water and the color takes after only an hour. Read the directions and follow them as written for best results. I have dark brown hair with some ahem silver glints, and previously I used Henna Huts Deep Red, which gave a gorgeous firey red, but I wanted to go darker now. The Mahogany gave me a dark chocolate color, very rich and deep. I love it! Very minimal blueish bleeding for about a week but not an issue ( Due to the indigo)It covered my silver glints perfectly.I am going to get this again, my only complaint which does not detract from the 5 stars, is the scent is really not nice. The clay helps the henna mix and stick to the hair, but the scent is like dirt. Whereas pure henna is a grassy fresh green scent. But the scent only lingered till the second wash, so it is tolerable.

but I would say he could go another 20 for a better effect. He doesn't like the smell though
This is more for light redheads...wouldn't use if you need dark auburn brown, unless you are going to mix with the dark brown for a reddish undertone. My husband used this color first, turned out lightish red...he's got dark brown with a slight reddish undertone. I would only use this if you have red hair, otherwise, mix with darker brown. Leave on for as long as you can to get full effect of color. Hubby leaves on for 20 minutes...but I would say he could go another 20 for a better effect. He doesn't like the smell though...very earthy. But...if you can't do the Just for Men because it leaves you begging for mercy...this IS a safe, non-burning alternative that does work!

Nature's Beauty Secret
This is one of the best Henna's that I have used for my hair. It did not take long to process nor was it difficult to wash out of my hair. I followed the directions to the letter and my hair turned out great! I have a lot of grey and 4B kinky, coily natural hair. My hair felt conditioned after I used this. I will use it again for a touch up.

and come out to a beautiful color. I mix my henna with a bit ...
Enough to dye my hair several time, and come out to a beautiful color.I mix my henna with a bit of honey, some avocado oil, coconut oil and about a tablespoon of lemon juice. My hair is lusciously soft, and the color lasts about a month before fading beautifully with a very natural tone.

Color faded and my hair was GREEN D:
BUYER BEWARE! I purchased this product and used it on my natural dirty blonde hair. After the color faded (2weeks) I was left with an ugly green color that doesn't fade. I went to get it bleached out after a few months and my hair turned BLUE! Went back to try again and the blue didn't change at all.....it was not a great experience. I ended up having to go get it fixed and spent twice the money trying to rid this product from my hair when all I can do is cover it up. Will not be buying again...
