It worked for about a hour, then lost cellphone signal completely.
Had to return the part. After installed, the phone was able to charge the battery. I let the battery charge completely, then I was able to use it for a little over an hour. Then I noticed that my texts were not going out. I looked at my signal strength for cellphone and it showed only 1 bar. I rechecked the installation by opening the phone and verifying that all the connections were good. I did not have any problems with the phone other than it quit charging the battery. I think it may just have been a defective part.

Fixed my aging Note 2!
Very easy to install. Charging starts instantly now - got tired of waking up to dead phone and fighting to keep phone charging.
