Great Sequel
This book is the sequel to Carey's novel Him. I really enjoyed seeing Sarah and Will's story when it was from Sarah's point of view, so when I got to the end, and found out that Carey was planning to re-tell the story, but from Will's perspective, I knew that I would be downloading this as soon as it was available. So I did.Sarah and Will are best friends, but when Will realises that he feels something that isn't strictly a friendly feeling and more of a loving feeling towards Sarah, he dumps his girlfriend and decides to let Sarah know exactly how he feels. They fall into their boyfriend/girlfriend relationship easily, as if it has always meant to be, that is until a text, meant for Will is read by Sarah and sends her running off to New Jersey.Seven years later Will is sitting on a plane, ready to fly home, when he gets the feeling that someone is looking at him, turning round and finding Sarah sitting staring at him was what he was possibly least expecting. But this chance encounter could be Will's chance to get Sarah back, or to at least understand why she left in the first place. If you've not read Him, I would recommend you read that first, if only to get an understanding for the story, and for Sarah's side of it. I liked knowing how the story played out already, even though that might have seemed repetitive, because it was told from Will's perspective, it was totally different.I liked how Carey told parts of the story word for word the same as she told it in Him, it really authenticated the story, and was a seamless continuation. I have a bit of a thing for hearing the guy's perspective when it comes to romance novels. It's something I discovered only very recently and I think it like it so much because it feels sneaky, like you're in their head when as a reader you're usually in the girls head.Carey made Will's point of view very believable. It felt like you were really living his side of the story with him. The sentences throughout are quite short which feels like it gives you an insight into Will, like he is always on to his next thought before he has finished his last. The story extends past the ending point in Him, so it gives you a chance to see Sarah and Will in their future, and what it brings for them, meaning that this story isn't only a retelling from Will's perspective. A good sequel to Him.

So Romantic
I loved 'Him' but have to say that 'Her' left the first book standing in my opinion. This book is from Will' s point of view and carries on past where 'Him' finished. Yes some scenes are the same but sound so different when seen through Will' s eyes. This is a truly romantic book. Highly Recommend. Beautiful beautiful story that stays with you. So want to hear about Sawyer and Jared next.....here's wishing....

Excellent
This was a lovely book told from will's point of view. If you read and liked 'him' then you will enjoy 'her' . Well worth reading.

Will is so sweet!!
*I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.*I was looking forward to getting Will's side of the story in the follow up to Him. I loved Will from the beginning, he was the perfect guy and even though I had a gripe with book one I was eager to see how the story unfolded through Will's eyes. After reading so many books of the same story but flipped to the male's pov I have learned there is a knack to it, so far I have only discovered one author that made me feel like I was reading a whole new book. With that being said, I couldn't help compare that previous book to Her and feel that it lacked that fresh feeling.I really wanted to be surprised in Her, I wanted to learn a completely new side to Will and discover all his secrets but he was pretty much an open book in Him and he was always honest with Sarah so nothing new was uncovered in Her. And perhaps I may have got frustrated having to relive the whole "misunderstanding" thing again. What can I say? It's still a sore point ;)The beginning of the book started in the past and I did enjoy reading from Will's perspective and discovering how he fell in love with his best friend. I would have preferred if the book was set up like the first and it flipped from past to present. I felt I would have been entertained for longer if it was done this way as we knew all the past events, nothing was a surprise for us, right down to his tattoo and his trip to see Sarah, that was all uncovered in book one and we didn't really gleam anything new.It really wasn't until 80% that new ground was covered (yes I may have glossed over the duplicate dialogue to get there faster) at that point I just wanted a nice big fat epilogue of all the lovely dovey stuff to make me happy. I would have liked to see character growth from both Will and Sarah in this book, Will is just a sweetheart he was the clear reason I read on.Her could possibly be read as a standalone as it is the same story but to get the full effect of these characters and to understand their connection I would say Him should be read first. I was more intrigued this time around by the relationship between Sawyer and Jared and the mystery of Sawyer's past so I do wonder if they have a book in the works. If I look at Her objectively I say it is a nice easy read, the writing flows well and you can easily get lost in Will and Sarah's world, I went into it with expectations of a different story and that's the reason it fell short for me. Lovers of contemporary romance will love the relationship between Will and Sarah. That guy just got sweeter if that is even possible. So check out this one today. ~Ava
