Vintage Rolex Sports Models: A Complete Visual Reference and Unauthorized History Hardcover – 6 June 2008

The best Rolex book I've read, but it only covers sports models up to the early 80s and omits the Air King model completely. The authors need to write a follow up.

I was really hoping that the book covered Rolex Submariner watches up to the 2000's however this wasn't the case. I was especially interested in original box's but again they didn't come up to the year 2000. So disappointed in this.

The book is great....packed full of fantastic photos and plenty of information for the collector. As usual, Amazon seem to only have damaged books in stock. The packaging was undamaged, however the dust cover and spine of the book were ripped and dented.

Relatively expensive but high quality hardback book. Separate chapters chronicle different models from the date of their introduction. Narrative is comprehensive but what really adds value are the images each successive version of a particular model. The changes are often subtle and best appreciated by reference to these photographs.This is an excellent book for anyone thinking of buying a vintage Rolex sports watch or perhaps wanting to understand more about the history of a watch they already own.

A Rolex book that’s worthwhile reading! Full of interesting info. The photography and illustrations are exactly what you want when looking at the condition of vintage watches for sale. Highly recommended.
