I bought this for my son, and he seems very pleased. Really sharpens the knives, sharp enough to cut paper.

Does a better job of sharpening than our previous system. I don’t think that it gets the knives maximally sharp, but it does a pretty good job. Our previous system was a set of various courseness “V” shaped rods that did an OK job and was easy to use. THis one is not a lot more complicated but does a better job of sharp edges, with more attention to the angle of the sharpening. Really a trade-off between hassle and result, IMO.

Nicely made but inadequate for sharpening knives that are beyond just maintenance. Also not tall enough for taller French knives.

Works great, takes some time, but much better than when I took them to Ace Hardware to be sharpened on their machine. I'm hard on my knives. This way I can keep them sharp!

The roller sharpener works well on mid sized blades. It’s worthless for paring and chef blades.
