It has been 5 years with this kettle. And it is still working like it was new. That’s it! You can surely go for this product.

A surprisingly good kettle
Further edit:The kettle is as old as my daughter. 8 years and going strong. My daughter dropped the glass lid on the floor once. And it didn't break or crack. I have bought other kettles for my mom and brother, and they can't hold a candle to this. Absolutely the best kettle on the market. Upgrading the review from 4 to 5 starsAfter a year update:I had initially given this kettle three stars, but after using it for almost a year I would like to change my reviewPros:Good quality.Cons: Short cable length.I had initially given three stars because of the length of the cable and because it was not portable. But, this kettle has been our saviour during travel for the past six months. I have an 10 month old daughter, and therefore we need hot water whenever we travel. First for heating refrigerated breast-milk, and there for boiling water for mixing formula, and baby food, sterilizing bottles, cups, spoons, etc.So, we carried this along everywhere and it boils water pretty quickly. The glass lid is pretty sturdy, and all the protection it needed was wrapping up in heavy clothes. So, yes you can carry it around.Cleaning is pretty easy, you since it is stainless steel.Again because it is stainless steel you do not get plasticky smell that you get with plastic water kettles.Occasionally I use this for cooking corn, gram dhall etc. and it works fine. Just make sure to change the setting.I am taking off one star because of the cable length alone, because you need to find a socket that is close to a table/kitchen top and that is not always the case and you need an extension box.

Good one! Nice travel companion for our 6 month old!
Had bought this for an interntional vacation with our 6 month old, basis earlier reviews! And glad I went ahead with it!Inspite of initial feel in pic about it being bulky, when the product arrived much to our relief we found it to be of convinient size for travelling. It was ideal for our travel as we managed all homemade stuff for our baby including - boiling vegetables, water, soup, khichdi and maggi for us!To give a complete picture though, we have not used it post our travel (except for boiling water) since we find it a bit combursome to cook (due to autocut off feature) compared to the convience of a cooker. There certainly is work around for auto cut off by placing lid incorrectly though. :)To sum it basically, its good for travel where u can make quick items for kids or even urself, but may not be of much use except the standard water boiling, soups and maggi.

Awsome for bachelors
This is an amazing product. I make soups, sauteed/steamed veggies and a lot more during my travels. For travellers-a bit heavy but I still carry it every time. Also take the kettle to a local market and buy an idli stand that fits in(arnd rs 130). Then You become a specialist cook. U can make most of ur puttu, rava idli, steamed oats - all in it. I do them :-)adding review after 3 months: the kettle stopped working suddenly in my hotel. I called the cust. Care and they fixed the issue within 2 days. Good experience :-)Pls note: don't use any local extension boxes. My hotel had a local loose extension box and it melted my kettle plug. Thank you

Pretty, cute, flexible, quite adjustable, full-featured
Nice and shiny. If we use our reverse-osmosis (RO) water filter, it stays shiny. We love this little kettle. It's good looking, quite adjustable and useful for many jobs including cooking noodles (even the non-instant kind). It's easy to boil eggs without overcooking because if we adjust it to the special top setting, it shuts itself off after 4 minutes (when the water boils). Then we set an 8-minute timer on our cellphone. (We like our boiled eggs hard.) We use this cooker as a room humidifier so to help us with our allergies. It works very nicely for that, with the knob set to 'tea/coffee'.This unit has lots of features missing from almost all other kettles. The temperature adjustment, shiny stainless steel, concealed heating element, and separate base are all great features. This was such a great purchase I even think of buying one more exactly like it.

Reliable and Durable
I love this product overall. I was living in a hostel and this is a real good buy for those who want to boil eggs, 2-minute pasta, Maggi, corn, vegetables and soup. I want to try cooking rice in this. I will post a review of that once I do that. If you know how to play with a product, it might just do well. The lid and the base of the product are nice. I have dropped the lid a couple of times and it is just fine. Warming milk could be a problem in this because the base of the kettle is thin and burns the milk easily. It's quite expensive for the features it has to offer but is good in its category with a reliable brand.
