A beautifully presented soft-cover coffee table book, with stunning reproductions and most informative well written material. Enough said.

As others have noted, this is an extraordinary book, especially for the price. The images are BEAUTIFUL, and there are lots of them. I went to school for Art History, so I have a ton of art books that were required for classes, and I'm astonished that this book, with so much information and so many images, is at the price point it is. If you are a fan of Klimt, or know someone who is, this is a WONDERFUL book.

I purchased this book to gain a better insight into the artist himself and the variety of paintings he produced so that I could write a paper for my art course. This book is well presented and contains the information I required to complete my studies.

Great book with good photos that cover all the important major works in high quality prints. The accompanying text is, I would say, rambling and not particularly readable.

期待していた以上の画集でした。表紙の絵画はたまたまウイーンの美術館のミュージアムショップで求めたものの１枚と同じものだったのですが、英語のコメントを読んで、購入してみたいと思い決定。絵の拡大部分があったり、またその絵がどこの美術館の所蔵のものか ということや説明も書かれています。日本の絵画も彼の絵に多大なる影響を及ぼしていたことも嬉しいことでした。本物の絵画はとてつも なく大きいサイズで、はじめて見た時は感動しました。購入するかどうか最初は迷いましたが、お気に入りの画集のひとつとなりました。 これからも繰り返し折をみてめくってみたいと思います。現地の美術館では、私はそんなに面白い人間ではない、ただ来る日も来る日を 絵を書き続けるだけ。。英語で記されていたことが印象的ですが、絵をみていろんなことを想像してみたり感じ取るということを与えて くれたクリムト。 絵は世界各地あちこちにあるということ。 本物の絵を観たあとでも本物の絵をみる前でも楽しめると思います。 気になった方にはおススメです。
