I find it worth the 5 stars. It checked a bad alternator putting out 20 to 22 volts to the battery that the alternator was boiling it and melting the battery . Great piece of tester.

This automotive test light works exactly as expected and makes diagnosing electrical issues much easier. The digital voltage display is clear and accurate, and the dual-color polarity indicator is really helpful for quick testing. The probe feels sturdy and well made, and the long cable gives plenty of reach around the vehicle. Great tool to keep in the garage or toolbox for car and truck work!

This circuit tester works great and is really easy to use. The lights clearly show positive and negative polarity, which makes checking things quick and simple. I’ve used it to test wiring and battery voltage on my vehicles and it’s been very handy. That said, it doesn’t have a heavy-duty feel—the wiring feels more plastic than rubber, and overall build quality is on the lighter side. For occasional home use, it’s perfectly fine. I wouldn’t expect it to hold up long in a professional environment, and I could see the cable getting brittle over time if it lives in a toolbox. You just have to be realistic at this price point—it’s cheap, and it performs like it. I’d call it a 3-star tool on quality alone, but for the price-to-performance, it earns a solid 4 stars.

Works great and seems to be of decent quality. Much better than one that I bought in the past for about the same price. I like the voltage display.

Nice little tester that works great under the hood of any vehicle. Just remember they can only read up to 48v so don't try it in the house. Digital readout is a bonus. I do recommend.

A very simple tool that picks up on voltage quite easily. The length of the wire is well sized for most cases. My only complaint is that the rubber warp on the handles of the ground prong managed to work their way off rather quickly, but that didn't affect the functionality of the tool. Definitely worth the price point and has helped me diagnose many automotive electrical problems.
