Solid little gigabit switch with just enough “smart” features to be useful.Out of the box it works exactly like a normal unmanaged switch — plug it in and it just works. If you want VLANs or basic QoS, those are available through the web interface without being overly complicated.The one thing I’d recommend right away is updating the firmware. The update itself is easy, but the file you download comes as a ZIP and you need to extract it first — the switch only accepts the .bin file. That tripped me up for a minute.Accessing the web interface was straightforward once I checked my router’s DHCP list for the IP. There’s a Windows discovery tool, but I didn’t need it.Performance has been solid and it’s completely silent. Works as expected, speed appears to be as advertised. Only issue I had was with an older Canon Laser image-maker. For some odd reason, the printer wouldn’t show up on the network connected directly to the Gigabit switch. I ran the printer to a small unmanaged tp switch and plugged that into the Gs308E and the printer now is recognized on the network. IDK why exactly but it works.

Great product, great price for a quality switch. Worked right out the box. Plug and go. Great size, easy to put in place. Light weight great operation. Looks great. Would purchase more when configuring other devices.

After several years of using it everyday still works perfectly fine no broken components or any issues, it's very fast and extremely easy to use

it's netgear. It's simple, small form which makes it very appealing with a minamlist look. Speed's good, connectivity is good and is an easy setup to secure.
