It's confusing because the indicator light goes out and it seems like the pedal is off
I found out the hard way that pressing the pedal doesn't turn off the unit. It was eating a 9V battery every two to three days. It's confusing because the indicator light goes out and it seems like the pedal is off. Cust support explained the only way to shut off the unit is to unplug the guitar cable from the unit. The DI interface draws a lot of power and drains the battery if the cable is plugged in.I can't give 5 stars because this unit needs a on/off toggle switch. A 10 cent part could have saved me $12 in ruined batteries.I really like how much quicker this tuner responds compared to the peterson clip on. It's cut my tuning time in half and is more accurate.

Top of the line
Without doubt the reputation of this product preceded it as well as any review. Not much I can say since this is hands down the current reigning king of stomp box tuners. Would be 5 stars if the price were a little more reasonable. It's not like the technology is new or exclusive, and although the extra features boost the value it's still pricey and perhaps Peterson should consider taking a look at applying the Laffer Curve to their pricing and their profit might increase. No benefit to me however as I've already dropped my $200 lol. The only consolation is that it should last a lifetime.

Why did I wait so long?
From the moment I first saw one of these online, I knew it would make my setup at church both simpler and better. I'm a freak about tuning and intonation, so I haven't been thrilled with the built-in tuners in effects pedals or amps. With many of my instruments, I don't need the effects -- just the ability to tune and plug into the PA. But the price of this tuner held me back for well over a year. I put it on my Wish List this Christmas, knowing that it was out of anyone's price range (but one can hope). So on Dec 26, I just bought it for myself. It's a beast, as stomp boxes go, but it replaces a tuner and a DI box, so it's still an improvement. And it just fits into the accessory compartment of my Gretsch hardshell case. The sweetened tuning options do just what they're supposed to do, and the ability to use sweetened tuning with a capo on my guitars and banjo is wonderful. I hate burning up (and relying on) batteries, so I was surprised that it didn't include a power supply at the price. But it turns out that it runs on phantom power in DI mode, which is even better! That was an unexpected treat. Now, I'm just kicking myself for waiting so long to get one.

Wow, upgraded from original StroboStomp.......Nice!!!
Just buy it and forget Turbo Tuner and the rest. The features are pretty much the same as my old unit, but they are much easier to utilize on-stage! I have two electrics and an acoustic, with one electric requiring the Buzz Feiten setting. You have a single preset button to push and it scrolls through my 3 presets for those guitars. Think there are 9 you can use. That kills Turbo Tuner as there is no BF setting from them. The display is better than the old unit, you can see it in the sunlight and dark of course. Built like a tanks and has tabs than fold out so you can screw it down on your board. This this tracks fast and will allow you to set your own intonation. The old one powered additional pedals, but they do not tout that feature any more, but the rest is all pro caliber, built in DI out, ground lift and true bypass switch nice weight, solid! If you are looking at a premium tuner for the first time, I can tell you than being in tune as accurate as this product and my old one for that matter, really makes a difference in practice and onstage.

Great tuner with many features
This tuner is bright and easy to read in any lighting condition. The pedal portion is huge and easy to hit. Durability and build quality appears sufficient to withstand naval gunfire. The sweetened tunings are fantastic, and every pedal should have a battery compartment like this one does. While I didn't buy this pedal thinking that I'd use the DI out at all, it's turned out to be one of my favorite features; as the first pedal in your chain, this one can't be beat in my opinion. If there was one thing I could change about it, it'd be to use a more standard bottom plate rather than the rubber shoe that it comes with, as I think using velcro or pedalboard tape to attach to a board to be the most common case now, so I'd personally prefer just a flat plate there.

It doesn't get better than this.
I purchased this to replace my Boss TU-12H that worked flawlessly for almost 30-years. Yeah, I got my money's worth on that one. I was looking for something that was a step up from the TU-12H and this is a step and half up. At least. The accuracy is fantastic and it is very quick to lock onto a note. I can use it while playing to see if my finger pressure is too light or too heavy, thus affecting the intonation of the notes. Speaking of intonation, it works great for that. Much better than my tu-12H which tended to bounce around quite a bit, especially on a low battery. This is a very beefy stomp box and has held up very well so far. I really like the mute capability as well as that allows me to tune up on-stage without having to mute my amp. My only qualm is that outdoors the LED screen can be hard to read but that's the case with most LED stuff.

This tuner is great. I always dread adjusting intonation on my guitars
This tuner is great. I always dread adjusting intonation on my guitars. But, this pedal has made it so much easier and it is so very accurate. I play mostly Les Paul guitars. Anyone who plays Les Pauls is aware of the tuning headaches. This pedal immediately helped me dial in the notorious G and B strings with ease and accuracy (extra info: I also use a quality lubricant (Planet Waves Lubrikit) on the nut on my Les Pauls to help with string tension and tuning issues). I find the strobe display much easier than other LCD panels or horrible needle tuners. Guitar set-ups won't be so frustrating anymore for me. Love this pedal. Well worth the extra money.

Tooles Gerät mit kultiger Optik
Wow!

Great foe electric violins!
Excellent product that allows tuning in loud environments. Particularly effective for electric violins with the violin “sweetened” mode.
