Recent order not as good as first order
My first order of these beans in March 2020 was amazing! It was the first time I'd ever had Anasazi beans, and I thought they were delicious. However, my most recent order (Nov2021) has been a bit disappointing.I cook dry beans frequently enough that I'm aware they need to be rinsed and picked through before soaking and cooking. Unfortunately, this bag seems unusually dirty (a good tablespoon of dirt from about 5 cups dry beans), and has many more broken beans than I would normally expect. Also, it SEEMS like this bag is about 1/4 to 1/3 of kidney or plain red beans. I'm not asserting that as absolute fact, but there is a very high percentage of solid red-colored beans, which I did not experience in my first order.Well, I guess I'll just have to be much more careful in cleaning and sorting this order as I use it - but it makes me consider that I may want to find another source, if any future orders disappoint.

Wonderful
A friend told us about Anasazi and my wife decided to try them. At first she bought them in the local grocery story, but they are hard to find and when she found them on Amazon, problem solved!!They are simply delicious!! She cooks them slowly in a pot with a small amount of bacon strips for flavor. They are awesome!!Would definitely recommend them to anyone who loves delicious beans as I do.

Tender, creamy, quick cooking
Love these beans. We first heard about them when we were visiting Navaho Indian reservation. I’m from Appalachia and grew up eating pinto beans. I find the Anasazi beans to be more tender, a bit sweeter, creamier and faster to cook. They are more expensive than pintos, but I still consider this protein source to be a great value. And like other dried beans, they last forever!

Great beans at a great price
I was looking for Jacob's Cattle beans, which we love, and found these (a pinker version). They cooked quickly and held their shape. I made the first batch with a smoked turkey leg - very yummy. I love how they have a creamy texture, but don't fall apart and get mushy. I hesitated at the thought of buying 4 lbs at once, but the price was right. As it turns out, we are going through them pretty quickly, as they are popular.

O. M. G. So yummy!
A friend told me about this bean variety and the only place I could find it was amazon. I am SO grateful because these beans are beyond delicious. They’re creamy yummy tasty especially when cooked with smoked ham. Despite a high price of almost $5/lb, I give these legumes 5 stars.

No need to soak before cooking
I love these beans. I cook them the day I want to eat them, since I don’t have to soak them prior to cooking.

Great Alternative To Pintos
These beans cook quicker and have a little sweeter flavor than most dry bean products. I am a regular buyer from now on.
