The Kitchen Grater (Colors May Vary)

I am thrilled with the grater itself, 5 stars for the grater!! I get ALLLL of the goodness out of the ginger, and not the fibers! What I am left with is finely ground ginger and all the juice. I have been chopping my ginger into little tiny pieces. It was time-consuming, less flavorful, and didn't fully utilize the ginger.The 4 stars is only because a) I could wish it was bigger. It's small, and difficult to hold it down with one hand, while grating with the other b) the bristles keep coming off the brush. No problem, I just use a pastry brush, instead. Works quite well. c) I can't get the garlic peeler to work, but maybe it's just because I don't understand how to use it, properly.I bought this after watching a YouTube video demonstration of grating garlic and ginger on this. To the reviewer who complains of it creating only a "mush"... I recommend you find and watch this video. As apparently, you have no prior experience with a ceramic/porcelain ginger grater, to know that the "mush" is all the wonderful ginger and juices that you WANT!! If you want dry ginger, buy it on the spice aisle!I wanted fresh, raw ginger, and this product delivers.

The brush fell apart after the first use. The paint came off the grater after a few uses, and now has chipped off. The thing is made of plaster, and since the plaster is now exposed, I've thrown the thing away. I am sorry for having recommended this to a friend before getting one for myself (I'd seen one demonstrated at a Farmer's Market). The only thing that I've liked at all is the little tube used to get the skin off of garlic cloves.

really nice for the money! I've purchased a more expensive version and the prongs on the plate were a little sharper, but this work fine.

The ridges are not very sharp. Cannot grate Parmesan with this. Good for smashing up sopme garlic though, if you want to dip some bread.

The brush and the peeler are useless, but the grater works exactly how I wanted it to.

Not like the one I had, this one sticks up and can grind your fingers. Picture was hard t o tell
