Great stopwatch for freedivers!
I got this in 2010 and have used it extensively in the pool for freediving training. It is not designed for the buttons to be used under water, but I have done it a lot with no problems. I have absolutely no complaints at all. It is perfect for freediving applications. It is 2015 now and it is still going strong 5 years after I bought it. I had to replace the battery once (in 2014), which I did myself. I use it in the water all the time.

Best watch ever
Love this one. Too costly but if you break a lot of watches this one is the answer. Most last 4 months. Last one of these lasted 4 years.

Perfect for my Needs
Easy to use, and a perfect size to fit in my gear bag. It also has a nice case to keep from turning it on accidentally while being transported.

Better than anything else I can find.
I coach rowing. It helps to have a stroke watch. The primary competitor for this watch from my perspective is marketed to rowing coaches. It's almost as expensive. In my experience, it is not waterproof (or resisitant, or at least able to deal with the occasional rainy day). My old watch from the competitor would take on moisture with almost any excuse. I would remove the battery cap, put it in a sunny window, and hope that it would dry out. It finally died after maybe four or five years. The "warranty" was to sell me a new one at a "discount". I've only used the Seiko seriously for one spring season. So far, it's handled the moisture and done good duty taking stroke rates. My basic needs have been served. However, there are a few things that would be better for me (and most rowing coaches). 1. Many times I want to track the time of the piece and take stroke rates at the same time. I can do that with the Seiko, but I need to change screens. 2. Considering what I spent on it, I should be able to change the battery all by myself. I probably can, but what happens if something goes wrong? That's just stupid. 3. I wear a Rolex watch that I purchased in 1967. Despite all the blather about how accurate all the digital watches are supposed to be compared to anything mechanical, the stupid and totally useless time-of-day and date function proves every day how much less accurate this electronic watch is.
