As the only coffee drinker in my house, I've relied on my V60 Hario dripper for years to make single cups with minimal cleanup and hassle. I recently purchased the Crank coffee dripper to add to my collection and to have as a travel coffee companion.The construction is very well done, and the silicon grippers do very well to stay in place on my mugs of varying width. In comparing to my ceramic V60, I find that the mesh filter from Crank and the ability to see the coffee as it drips is a nice improvement. I was concerned at first about not using a filter, but the Crank dripper does a great job of keeping a proper consistency and mouthfeel to my coffee. The silicone grips also do well to absorb the heat of the metal filter and is easy to grab when spinning to flatten the coffee bed and when the brew is done. Cleanup is as simple as knocking the dripper against the trash a time or two, then rinsing off the minimal residual grounds in the sink, which takes a max of 5 seconds.As an everyday pour over user, I find this device to be perfectly useful in making delicious coffee and plan to use it regularly going forward.

I'm new to pour-over, but this filter was incredibly easy to use.The thing feels solidly built. I could put it through a dishwasher, travel with it and even drop it without worrying.Some things that make this filter pretty unique over others are the silicone ring both at the base and on top. The base ring keeps the filer very stable on top of my mug and wont start sliding and scraping when it gets wet. The ring on top makes it easy to grab while it's still hot. Both offer the metal edges some decent dent protection to make it even more travel friendly.I was impressed with how easy it was to clean. After making a cup, I just beat it over a trash can and rinsed out the rest. It comes out just as clean as when I got it.Nothing beats a good pour-over. And this thing gives me a cup with no grounds at the bottom, easy clean up and the aromatic majesty pour-overs are known for.

No grits in the coffee. I can pour it and walk away without having to wait. I also use it for loose leaf tea. Sometimes i even mix tea with the coffee grounds like lavender or mint tea. I used to use a different strainer that I had to dump out ever few minutes, but I can make more coffee at one time with this and strait it all and leave and in a bit it's strained. No problems with it. I dump the grounds into the trash and just use my finger to scrape them out and then wash it in the sink.

First off, The Bumper Grip Coffee Dripper by Crank Coffee is a BEAUTIFUL and VERY well-made piece. From the very fine interior filter mesh to the glistening polished stainless-steel and the dramatically contrasting pitch-black silicon-rings .. it's really a thing of beauty.It was ready to use right out of the box. No oily smells that you might expect from something manufactured out of steel. It arrives 100% pristine in simple but sturdy packaging ready to go .. or I should say .. ready to pour!What I'm trying to say is that if you are looking for a gift-idea .. this pour-over coffee filter presents itself very well and looks great just sitting on the counter waiting to be used. Everyone I gave it to as a gift said .. 'wow .. that's really cool' as they pulled it from its packaging.Like I said, I liked it so much I bought a 2nd one for our vacation home and then when Father's Day rolled around we bought more for FD gifts.Using The Bumper Grip is just too easy. The bottom silicon ring keeps it from sliding off your coffee-cup or carafe and the top ring takes the edge-off the heat, giving you more options to maneuver it than just the tab. The tab is thicker silicon and so it does even a better job of insulating your fingers as you tap out the grounds when done.Speaking of tapping out the grounds, the rings do an excellent job of protecting this filter as well as protecting your surfaces. After a tap and a quick rinse in hot water in the sink, I just set it on the counter to dry.No wasted paper filters on their way to the landfill.I'm VERY happy with this product and my purchase(s)

I am not new to pour overs. I have one which I like but the glass you insert the stainless steel holder breaks easily. I am on the fourth one. I went through the reviews about this one and decided to give it a try. I used it like my current one but it was about to overfill. Luckily I caught it before that happened. What I got was a great tasting cup of coffee. My only suggestion is to add instructions to the box because though there are similarities, there are subtle differences. Another plus: NO PAPER FILTERS. I had many of that type.Again, this is a fantastic pour over! Thumbs up to this brand new, family-owned company.

Awesome product that is well crafted. Great attention to detail and well priced. Its got a double liner. The inside is a finer mesh and the outside layer is made with larger holes and stronger gauge so its well constructed. I even got a good Crank Coffer Sticker.I will have to keep this in mind come birthdays, etc. for my friends and family that are coffee lovers.

This is such a great addition to my kitchen... I love it! Not only does it make a delicious cup of coffee, but it's also beautifully designed and very functional. A few days after I got it, the electricity was out for several hours in the morning, and I was able to make perfectly-brewed coffee using my new dripper. Realized it's perfect for camping/backpacking too. Highly recommend for anyone who loves good coffee, or as a great gift for the coffee-lover you love!

Love the quality of this. Seems super sturdy. Love the rubberized lip at top and bottom. Packaging was good. Simple but protective. If you love coffee and wanting to try a poor over style stripper, give this a try. You won’t be disappointed!!!
