Great!
Best VP ever! Perfect for ambient and swells, much smaller than other VP's, large sweep range, solid construction, keeps pure the guitar tone, and a great design. Really love it.

Stunning Pedal with a Problem
I desperately wanted this pedal to work. It's a beautiful physical design and the craftsmanship is outstanding. The powdercoat finish is simple and classy and presumably very durable. It has excellent sound quality - no noise whatsoever and high end tone and clarity are entirely retained. The sweep is long and has a natural and intuitive feel thanks in large part to the mid-placed pivot point. And it is a perfect size - big enough to be stable and easy to control, but small enough to squeeze onto most any board. Would definitely be nice if the input/output jacks were on the sides like the rest of my pedals, but I used custom cables to work around that. In short, the Bloomery Active is SO CLOSE to being the perfect volume pedal that it would surely have taken up permanent residence on my board. The deal-breaker issue for me is that downstream pedals *pop* loudly when engaged or disengaged. Upstream pedals are not the cause (despite Tapestry Audio's quick response to my inquiry about this) - it has the same problem even with nothing plugged into the input. Could be it has DC leakage from the output capacitor-? An easy fix? Who knows. Whatever the cause, the pedal won't work for me with this issue. The reason I am able to suppress my disappointment to give it two stars (instead of one) is because it will work fine at the END of a pedal chain, or if downstream pedals are always on.A couple of quick disclaimer notes:1.) I have ordered and returned three of these. In two of the three the popping seemed to diminish a bit after being plugged in for a while, although not enough. Have ordered an active roller pedal instead.2.) I didn't do exhaustive testing but the popping issue seemed to be eliminated in pedals *after* the first downstream pedal with a buffered bypass (eg: Boss, MXR), so factor that into the usability for your setup.

Small Footprint but not crazy about the feel.
Solid build. Nice aesthetics. Very small footprint. Didn't like the way the potentiometer would slightly bend when it slid, seemed like a weak point in the design. Also the throw and feel of it wasn't suited for me, and especially not when sitting down. Thats just my experience with it. It is a nice pedal just wasn't my cup of volume gas.

Different, but worth it. More practical and simple can do the job.
Compact. Gorgeous. Yes, there is an arching sweep that I was not used to playing Ernie Ball volume pedals for decades on tour. What you get in return is a small, compact and smooth pedal that fits on my pedal board and works equally with acoustic or electric guitars and bass. Solid. Worth it.

Worth It - Great Volume Pedal
Great volume pedal! Silent and configurable - and super small too. Came from a Ernie Ball VP JR and got sick of replacing the rotary pot and string. The Tapestry Bloomery takes a bit of getting used to - the throw of the pedal is very different from other volume pedals. However, after using it for several weeks, I've adjusted to it and actually prefer it. Its very transparent as well. Sonic-ly adds/removes nothing from my tone. I play a TON of swells week-to-week and this gets the job done very well.Anyone looking to move up to a more stable volume pedal, or even get into the volume pedal game, I very much recommend.

A volume pedal with a design flaw
I have returned this pedal for the following reasons. As the pedal’s treadle approaches full toe-down position, the bushing that connects the treadle to the potentiometer’s slider goes out of alignment with the slider’s shaft and lifts it upwards. I’ve uploaded an unlisted YouTube video showing this. The link to this video is https://youtu.be/IOpl677MbnkThis will unfortunately cause accelerated wear and tear. I note that there is another video on YouTube showing similar (in fact, more severe) problems. There is clearly a nontrivial design flaw in this pedal which for its price, should not exist.

Fantastically Amazing
Ive had buffered volume pedals before, but this one is built amazingly and improved my tone and output clarity immensely. Not a better product out there.
