Modest in size - not content
22.90 x 15.20 cm this book is small, however, the content is incredible (496pp)It is chronologically arranged. Over 300 full page images all in their original colour (excellent reproductions). Each chapter is arranged by year with a description of the artists life at the time followed by the drawings. It is well written, to the point and informative. The text size and layout make it a joy to read.(Please note: If you are unfamiliar with Schiele's work it may be worth noting it's graphic content, which may not be to everyone's taste, however, if you're a fan, it's a must have.)

Really good book
Excellent book, author's life and artworks go together and create a beautiful analysis of Schiele's art. Written beautifully and really good pictures. Highly recommend.

Brilliant insight into a talented artist.
An artist with striking and brilliant observational if gritty sketches.

Perhaps the best book on Schiele
Detailed biography and description of Schiele’s artistic journey, creative influences and untimely death. Packed with examples of his relevant work.

Small, but packs a punch
I totally agree with the other 5 star reviews. You may be tempted to over look this book as there are other larger format books on the artist available. Although on the smaller side it packs a punch. Lavishly illustrated, interesting accompanying text, it's easily my favourite schiele book I own.

For everybody interested on Schiele
Very good publication, centered on the artist's works on paper. The collection of the images looks complete and the printing is of fine quality. Apart from having it in my library, I have also used it as a present.
