Seven OceanS® Emergency food rations sea

I bought this product from Amazon among several others from mountain-gear shops to test them, as I will be going on fieldwork in a rural remote setting for a few months and thought I should have something as an emergency. This packet came in an air-sealed container with an expiration date of 2023 - much better packed than everything else I've seen. It felt heavy for its small size (500gms). I opened the air-seal and found an additional plastic waterproof seal - I guess this is good in case the packet gets wet somehow. Then I found 18 square/rectangular "biscuit-cakes", in twos in some sort of paper wrapping. So, in terms of packaging, they were quite safe. Taste and use: I've taken them to work and for the past three days I've replaced my lunch with 4 biscuit-cakes at a time, and I kept going just fine till dinner 6 hours later. I know they're not supposed to be used like this and have smaller servings, but I was curious to see if they'd keep me working as usual, and not just sat motionless. They did the job alright, but make sure you have lots of water as they're super-condensed or something. In terms of taste, they taste like flour and sugar with some sort of oily by-taste (coconut oil? palm oil? no idea) - but it was better than expected. All in all, a good purchase.

Tastes a lot better than i expected, its like a wheat, malt and soy biscuit, a bit too sweet for my taste, but great not just for emergency. Actually 2 tablets made me full and they have equivalent energy to a lunch, so its perfect and very compact plus they have vitamins and iron too. I bought it to test them if they are good for my bug-out emergency bag and i have to say they are perfect for it, will surely buy more, never know when you need them. there is a saying: Better have it and don't need it, than need it and not have it. Highly recommended emergency food, quality made in Norway. You should not eat more than 6 tablets (there are 2 tablets per inner pack, total of 9 inners) the 6 tablets (3 inner packs) have 834 calories, that may be enough when sitting at home or on a boat, but not when being on move on foot or for wilderness survival, coz in these situation you will need a lot more energy than that.

These are great. Having eaten some, they are a little powdery. Which I suspect would affect your thirst if these were all that was available in an emergency, (hence only 4 stars). But they taste OK, and if I was starving, I'd be very happy to have them!

This is an excellent product. I initially bought it as you never know what's going to happen in today's world so I thought why not buy some emergency food. I decided to try it and use it in an attempt to lose weight. It tasted incredible .. like a crumbly niche short bread. I loved it. After eating only half rations for 1 week I managed to lose 5lb! I was never hungry and looked forward to my bars and im 6ft 2 with a healthy appetite. For 5 quid a box it makes better sense than all these expensive slimming products. I'm going to eat what I want for 3 weeks in a month and spend 1 week per month living on these. Money well spent. Buy it for emergencies, pack lunches or slimming either way it's a great product

now i have not tasted these just yet...i've just removed them from box and put them back in back after i had a look at the foil wrapping it is small and compact..so they don't take up a lot of space...i only got these because i go hiking and camping alot...these biscuits will do for anything not just for the boat..but if you've got a small tash of emergency food somewhere..i do recommend these..but buy a few boxes because their handy to have and if you need a expire date..the biscuits i got was manufatured on 4th month of 2012 and will expire on the 3rd month of 2017(this is whats printed on the box) will i buy more?...yes because i want to taste these for myself and there got for having in a survival kit or about the house etc etc also delivery was very fast by seller.. i will also tell you about taste when i get more ok :)

I opened one of the packets I bought, just to see what they taste like. It's always a good idea to be certain that you'd be happy to eat your survival food at need. They really do taste remarkably like shortbread, just as a previous reviewer said. There is a difference; you can tell that there's more sugar and fat in the mix, but that's what you need for survival biscuits. The opened packet has been sitting on my desk for a month now, but the remaining biscuits are still fresh. You could use these to supplement meagre rations from another source, secure in the knowledge that your biscuits wouldn't go stale overnight. Try to keep them dry after you open the inner foil, though, or they'll fall apart just like any other kind of biscuit.

There OK, taste a little like short bread, although dryer. Not sure I would want to live on them in an emergency. They weren't that filling, if anything I felt more hungry after them. But only bought to try. Go nice with a cup of tea/coffee. My dog loved them to, and he doesn't really take treats when offered

Wrapping: The wrapping is great and perfect to protect the biscuits from the elements. First is the cardboard box, next is the silver wrapping, next clear plastic wrapping, and finally each of the biscuits is individually wrapped in paper. Very well done. Taste: They taste a bit like bland Scottish shortbread, so not a bad taste at all. Value: Excellent value for money. You can split each "bar" into two small squares to limit yourself or share if needed. In a nutshell, a very good buy! Handy for anything from mountain treks, sailing expeditions, fishing, or just driving a long distance.

Bon produit

The entire package contains 9 wraped packages of which each contain two small bars. They have a sugary sweet taste with a hit of grains. Though they are solid, as soon as you take a bite they fall apart like a powder. Very good to eat. Make sure you have something to drink to go along with this. Makes it easier to swallow. My package said it was manufactured 31 of March 2022 and was due to expire on 26 September 2027. Thats about 5,5 years and pretty good shelf life, but compared to competitors, it's actually rather short. Either way, they taste great, so worth having some in your kit.

Lecker, macht aber nicht sooo satt wie erwartet. Trotzem sehr zufriedenstellend. Der geschmack ist wie der von Keksen, die Notverpflegung ist jedoch sehr bröselig. Für den Preis und vor allem für die haltbarkeit sehr zu Empfehlen! Wenn man jeden Monat 2 solche Pakete kauft, hat man nach 4 Monaten genug um damit gut einen Monat durch zu kommen, falls es wirklich mal hart auf hart kommt. Die größe der Pakete ist etwa die von zwei Zigarettenschachteln .. glaub ich (bin kein raucher) PS: Viel trinken nicht vergessen!
