Work Great, Install The Stake First, Then The Rest...
One day in, its nighttime and they look great. I got 2 boxes to test, and just got one more. I’ll probably add even more, I’ve lots of yard and walkways to light up.They all work, you do have to turn the switches on. A little tip, turn the box upside down and open the bottom (they are sent with the solar panel part face-down, so flip it over), pluck off all the plastic bag covers, and stuff them into one bag for disposal. They slide off easily with the lights left in place, make sure they’re still facing up and didn’t fall over, and leave the box out in the sun for a few hours while you do other stuff. They should come charged, but I wanted to be sure, and have the most charge possible to test brightness, to see if I wanted more. Come back, set the switches to “on”, and I put the plastic stakes in by hand where there was soft soil and mulch, or with a rubber mallet ($1 store) where the dirt was firmer, then I placed the posts over each as I went, then put the lights on top. It went quickly, and there’s less risk of breakage, since some people say they broke theirs. If you put each one together and THEN try to place them, putting all the pressure on the light itself, you may break them. I handled the bottom of the pole and put the initial pressure there, where it meets the stake, until it was well-set, them tapped the ones in that didn’t just go in by hand. Common sense says to just manhandle the stake, not the rest. Even if the stake chips a little, and only 1 or 2 out of 24 chipped ever so slightly from a hard whack, almost not worth mentioning except to say don’t whack them super hard with a metal hammer like you’re trying to drive it through a cement wall or something, they are plenty sturdy and can handle the normal tap, and they still worked and hold the post and light just fine.If you have very hard ground, soften it first with a shovel or something, give the soil a turn or two. The stakes are plenty sharp and sturdy, but hard ground is hard ground. Again, use common sense and these should last a good while. We’ll see how long the batteries work, this is day 1. They do look nice, and they give off plenty of light to walk the pathways and gently light some trees as well. I have to say that my yard critter-visitors also like them very much, it attracts the occasional moth for them to chase around, so that’s fun for them. If you’re laying out a path across grass, you can use a garden hose to lay your line, if you want a curve or not, get it how you want it to look, and follow alongside the hose for placement.UPDATE TIP: I have some playful kitties who swat hard at moths, so I’ll be putting just a tad of Mighty Mendit just to the bottom of the light where it meets the stake, to keep them on their stakes. They swatted a couple of them off last night in their tumbling, vigorous play:) I doubt this will be an issue for most people, but if you see some displaced ones and you’re wondering what happened, that’s probably it. A kitty, raccoon, opossum, squirrel, or other playful critter was busy helping you keep your moth population in check...

They are very easy use too
These solar lights are 100% solar powered - "free lighting". Four to six hours of Florida sunshine provides six to eight hours of illumination at night without having the electric bill go up! The solar lights recharge themselves during the day and the rechargeable battery comes preinstalled in each light. They are very easy use too! You take them out of the box, turn on the "on" switch, attach the spike to the bottom and stick them in the ground. (There are instructions included but you really don't need them). I had them in one day and they were all set. By the time I came home from work, they were lit up and made the driveway nice and pronounced. There were no tools needed, no wires needed, nothing extra!Thee lights are weather proof too. They are made of corrosion resistant stainless steel and I hope they will provide a long life. They are sealed against rain (and snow if I didn't live in Florida LOL). The information contained with the lights states that these lights will continue to function regardless of the weather.I used them to go down the driveway, but you can use them on the patio or flower beds or anywhere outdoors where the lights have the opportunity to charge back up in the sunlight. The manufacturer a 100% satisfaction guarantee, and a 12 month replacement and refund warranty if you have issues with the light or are not satisfied.

Pretty Happy with these Guys
So, for $16 bucks I think theses are a pretty good buy. How the world can make/ship/stock/reship for just $1.33 each is a wonder of modern manufacturing and logistics.Build-quality isn't out of this world, but I wouldn't expect it to be for the price. They feel reasonably well-built, but I'd be surprised to get years of service out of them. We haven't had a good rain in a while, so I did a little hose test. Really sprayed them down for a couple minutes. They still work. I live in Seattle, so I'm guessing they'll do alright in our mist-style rain. The stainless steel vertical tube is really thin. It creases if you push it in anything but the softest of soil. Plan on using a small spade to pre-dig your hole.Light output isn't all that great. They really just put out enough to mark a path or driveway in the dark. The one nighttime pic I attached makes it look brighter than they are. Think the camera just overexposed a bit.One area for improvement, though not enough to knock off a star, is how the spike attaches to the shaft. It's just a friction connection. I wish they screwed together. If you push them into the ground them remove, you'll likely have to dig out the spike. Not really a big dealWould buy again***My Rating Criteria***Build Quality(47.5%) - 4.0 StarsEfficacy(47.5%) - 4.0 StarsPost-Sale Support(0.0%) - n/aPackaging/Presentation(5.0%) - 5.0 StarsWEIGHTED AVERAGE(100.0%) - 4.1 STARS

Best value for your money...
These are by far the best value for your money. They work exactly as expected. They are not super-bright but are great to highlight a pathway or provide a guiding light in your yard, which is why they come in packs of 12 or more. Keep in mind, they are a little lightweight, so you have to be careful when installing. I had no problem simply pushing them in the ground in soft soil around my plants. For harder, dry soil you will need to drive a stake in the ground first to prepare a guiding hole to avoid breaking the plastic anchors that come with it. Special mention: The outstanding customer service. I received a response within 24 hours to my query. For that, and the value for money, I have to give this 5 stars.
