Great case for anyone wanting rugged protection
The Gumdrop case is awesome. It fits the tablet just like a glove and all the openings are exactly where they are supposed to be.The case is significantly lighter than earlier models but still offers the same level of protection against drops/falls as it's predecessors . The textured surface makes it easy to hold and work with. The stand is great for watching movies on the plane. If you want a rugged case that offers excellent protection against everyday life, than I would recommend this case.

The case seems to be a good concept, but I feel there are some shortcomings ...
** UPDATE ** 02-22-2015Left same review on manufacturers website, it went missing after a few days. That was on their mobile site, the desktop version of same product is not accepting/posting reviews for some strange reason, eventhough it lets you submit it. The manufacturer either has something to hide or has issues with their site. Note that by default there are 3 stars already preselected automatically on their review sites, so one doesn't even have to give them rating, its already rated at 3 stars automatically.Home button is still stiff to press on. ====>> so far the biggest issue with this case besides the finger print scanner which is covered by the case, but at least that shortcomming was disclosed in the item description. The case seems to be a good concept for a durable shell, but I feel there are some shortcomings in it as well.Let's start, the material that the case is made of seems to be out of good quality, fits nicely and rubber/silicone feels nice in hand while holding it, though can feel a bit slippery when holding with dry skin hands, my hands are naturally a bit moist/soft most of the time, I guess it's a medical condition of some sort. The top frame so close to the screen top that it makes a bit hard to access the quick drop-down menu, as noted in other reviews. While reassembling, the top right screen cover frame popped up and it was a bit tough to get it snapped back in, hopefully I didn't damage the tablet in the process of getting it back in place because I noticed it while installing the rubber/silicone shell back on, and did not want to disassemble the whole thing again.Few things I didn't like was the fact that the rear is open, especially once the kickstand is utilized, I used one of the protective covers from the screen protector that I put directly on the back of the tablet and trimmed the area around the camera lense and the little black island from the case once the face of the tablet was inserted into cases plastic shell with top cover piece around the camera. Doing so I believe I gave a bit more protection from the outside dust and other elements finding & gaining easy access into case from the back cover where the kickstand is. Another thing I wasn't too fond of was the hard to press home button, not only it is covered (which is mentioned in the product description), with that design, the fingerprint sensor is covered up and rendered useless. The biggest issue in this case is just stiffness of that button cover, but it is very hard to press to get a response from tablet.I think this case case has great quality built with few design flaws and minor improvements to be made. Overall good, but one probably would consider other options for more user friendly experience and access to buttons on Galaxy Tab S 10.5 tablet.I have 3 of these tablets and also got a Unicorn Beetle by Brillotech aka Supcase to be used on the other unit, not sure how that will turn out yet. One of the 3 tablets is used without a case at the moment and I do not like that because I find it too small to handle as it is quite thin of a device. I do not believe that I'll be turning to Otterbox any time soon as I was not pleased with built quality of their Defender Series case for my S4 Google Edition. Also, manufacturer might want to consider offering more colors to choose from, as many other competitors do and possibly stealing the business just on that aspect alone. Will update this review once I'll get more user experience with this case.

Completely satisfied but not without a few notes for improvement.
This case performs very well. It covers your most important bases for tablets: grip, protection, resting arm with multiple viewing angles, accessibility to ports and even screen protection. However, the last one is the only drawback. The screen protector does not sit as well as expected due to a gap between screen and the film protector. The film feels cheap and does not perform well at all when sliding your finger across the screen. The frame for the protector blocks you from pulling the quick settings dropdown with ease. On the plus side, you can remove it (well done Gumdrop!) and all is well as long as you get a separate screen protector that adheres to the screen.I have had my case for over a year and I still trust it to protect my tablet from the unknown. Although, I am writing this review because I wish to replace it. The magnets recently came off the back side of the case where they lock the arm in place. Not a biggie to me because I like the wider stance better anyway. I have only dropped my tablet twice. On the second drop, the case cracked by the earphone plug. The positive from that, the grip saved me from dropping it a few more times. I only became reckless because of the trust I had in the case. Trust not lost. The case has survived my son, wife and myself, deployments, in and out of bags (ROUGH handling with gear inside), so it is fair to say this thing has been tested thoroughly and left me impressed. The reason(s) I give it a four is because within a week I abandoned the screen protector it came with because it did not serve any purpose to me. The lip that allows you to pull the arm out on the back, was too weak. It broke off well before making the year mark (not that much of a drawback, more of an inconvenience). The magnets could have been fortified better. The use of magnets was ingenious although they could have been used to hold a barrier that would stay in place to protect the screen when not in use; possibly made of the same materials as the rest of the case. All in all, I was pleased with the product and look forward to an improvement on an almost perfect case; and/or future cases. No other case offers the flexibility this one does. I beleive this case is worth your investment, especially if you move around a lot like me. If not you should feel at ease that this case will undoubtedly protect your tablet for normal daily use. Thank you Gumdrop!

Superior case with massive protection
Superior case with massive protection. Meybe a little overkill for such a slight tablet but certainly up to the job. Well made. The rubber stuff is not smelly at all and has a matt soft feel.

Excellent but quality not up to high price.
Nice product but unfortunaly stand plastic became brittle after 9 months and started to fall apart. Exact same thing happened with similar gum drop case for samsung 8.4 pro. Replaced both with less expensive alternatives.
