Coloring Animal Mandalas

I remember buying a coloring poster when I was a teenager and I think it had a peace sign on it and it was psychedelic. I hung it on my wall and I colored on every night before I went to bed. I remember that it was very relaxing and in the end I had a crazy looking poster.This coloring book is full of intricate design of a variety of fanciful images of animals. These mandalas are a balance of visual elements with the geometric shapes and animals imagines entwined in them. Painting and or coloring these mandalas allows my creative brain to come out and play, leading to a relaxed and focus state of mind. Some of the areas are very intricate, you will need very sharp colored pencils, fine markers and maybe a magnifying glass to color between the lines, but once completed this could be a beautiful piece of artwork.I am hoping to do a great job in coloring to be able to frame them.

This is such a beautiful coloring book! I love coloring books that feature mandalas and books that feature intricate nature aspects and this includes both! I was thrilled to find this book in my recommended books on Amazon. I fell in love at first sight and bought it instantly. When I received the book, I was completely smitten. It has complex, intricate animal designs in mandala style with plenty of opportunities to color. It also has my favorite coloring book feature- the pages are printed on only one side, so you don’t have to worry about the paper becoming heavy or markers bleeding through on the flip side of the paper. This is great because I don’t have to make a tough choice of which side of the paper I prefer. I tend to use colored pencils, but I still prefer to have one-sided paper. The mandalas on each page are unique enough to be fun to do, but all incorporate that same great style to keep it cohesive. I love this book. I bought a copy for my boyfriend as well (I’m slowly converting him to adult coloring books!) and I’m so excited to show him. I highly recommend this beautiful book!

This is a wonderful coloring book. It is smaller than a regular 8 1/2 by 11 coloring book. It is about 7 x 9 inches. Pages are printed on 1 side only. The Mandalas are printed in the middle of the page and are approximately 6 inches in diameter. Some of the drawings are extremely detailed oriented and may be difficult to color if your eyes are not very good or your hands not very steady. I have used gel pens to color several pages.Animal Mandalas Included: Peacock, Conch Shell, Bat, Phoenix or Ibis, Cat, Butterfly x 2, Sea Serpent, Elephant, Fox, Elk, Pegasus, Swan, Turtle, Bear, Frog/Dragonfly combo, Antelope, Lizard, Bee, Parrot, Fish, Griffin, Horse, Bird, Lion, Nautilus, Sea Horse Creature, Owl, Snake, Regular Sea Horse, Flowers with Small Doves.

I love this book. The designs are beautiful, and very unique. The paper is good quality (although I color with pencils, so it might not be so good with gels or inks)My one complaint is that some of the designs are so detailed that they really can't be colored. It's like the designs are very large, and got shrunk down to fit on the page. Very tiny areas are fine, but these areas comprise large portions of some designs. For example, the bird mandala on page 4 is gorgeous, with upraised wings, but the details on the feathers are so heavy and so tiny you can't really color the feathers... which are the part I want to color most.

I enjoyed most designs and it was a nice addition to my growing collection of coloring books . I would have given it five stars if the pages were larger . And since I put all pages on card stock , because of art pens that bleed through it wasn't that big of a deal . But I also love all animal designs in any kind of drawing style , if done well .

I love this book as much as I love Coloring Flower Mandalas. The animals in the book are creative; beautiful, intricate illustrations. Gel pens, colored pencils and fine line markers work well. I put a piece of paper between pages when using the gel pens and glad I did because I noticed sone leakage, especially with the fine liners. I used Prang colored pencils, various gel pens and Stabilo fine liners. The paper in this book is high quality. All patterns in the book are pretty detailed. Each one will take some time to complete. Fun to color.

I like the single sided drawings in the book, it is smaller than I had measured in my mind trying to figure out centimeters to inches. The drawings are lovely, most do not reach the edge's of the page, so that helps. The paper is fairly thin, but that is to be expected with self published artist books in the currant market.

A cute and fun coloring book with lots of intricate detail to fill in. I've used pens and colored pencils on this and both work well. The illustrations are pretty and coloring in this book is relaxing.

Beautiful, intricate pictures. Pages are thick enough and the quality is good enough that pencil crayons work perfectly, pictures are only on one side so you'd be fine with markers too.Book is a little smaller than expected, look at the sizing, perfect to pack up and take with you.Drawings are very detailed and intricate, this is not for fat magic markers, you need fine markers or sharp pencils for this book.

I have bought a couple of these adult colouring books lately - I bought this after seeing positive reviews for another of the author's books not yet available in the UK. Sadly I am a bit disappointed - although the designs are lovely, very imaginative and pleasant, some are a bit difficult to colour as they are small in scale. A lot of the patterns have extremely small sections (I mean the individual 'cells' or parts of the design within the black lines). I prefer to use coloured pencils and even the finest points go over the edges. The paper is a little on the thin side for felt-tip pens which may bleed through. I will try photocopying and enlarging on to good quality printer paper. I have also tried the Mindfulness Colouring Book and the Art Therapy Anti Stress book - these are better in scale for pencil work.

Lindas mandalas! e só há um desenho por folha, ou seja, se quiser, pode usar caneta hidrocor. Cuidado se o fizer. Use uma folha de papel entre as folhas, pois estas são de papel comum e a cor pode "vazar" para o desenho seguinte.

Very fine detail work so be ready with fine liners or very sharp pencils. Good artwork.
