ProPur KING 304 Stainless + 2 ProOne-G 2.0 9" Filter Elements - SCRATCH & DENT SALE!

This is a great product and makes delicious water. The price point is EXCELLENT given A. what it can do, B. "scratch and dent" price is about $100 less than the standard price, and C. I couldn't find a scratch or dent on it. I bought this ProPur filter because the water at my new town home is loaded with so much chlorine that I have to let it breathe before drinking it. I have one of those "fancy kitchen sink faucets" that I can't attach my old counter top water filter to... so I've sadly retired my dear trusty friend. I also bought this model because it FILTERS FLUORIDE! Don't get me wrong, the right ratio of fluoride in our daily intake is a benefit for our dental health- but the amount we consume can compete with other essential micronutrients that enter our body through the same receptors- like Iodine. I realize that this statement could start a comment war- but my main intention is to simply highlight the greatness of this product. I was also surprised how quickly it filtered water- given what I read in the product description- it seemed to go by very quickly. The manual states that this particular model should filter .9 gallons/ hour.For set up- please have the following handy:Pliers to tighten a hex nut on the inside part of the spigot.Philips Screw Driver (size 1+)Mild dish soap- one that doesn't have an odor (for cleaning the stainless steel container NOT the ceramic filters). :-)Also- be prepared that you will need to run the water through this thing 2-3 times before using for drinking purposes (at least that's what the manual states). This is similar to my experience with other water filters- my old one i had to run water through it for 15 minutes straight. So, have a watering can nearby and maybe schedule setting up your new filter with one of your indoor-house plant watering days... ;-PSo far- the water tastes pretty durn great-- mild ceramicy- flavor, but this will probably dissipate after a few more uses. I also love that I could theoretically take this camping with me and set it up for stream water... I might need to buy a white wall canvas tent, wood stove, and a massive Coleman propane stove--- because this thing is so huge I couldn't imagine bringing it on any other sort of camping adventure... ;-) (I used to be in/ lead wilderness crews, so this Propur thing is making me feel like I'm on a hitch in the field when I use it in my kitchen).AND last thought, I love that the 9inch filters in here last for 12 months. This is ideal given that they're $$$!**UPDATE NOVEMBER 2018*** Still love this filter. However, the screw in the lid cover that attaches the lid knob is already rusting from condensation. It's a minor thing considering I can go out and buy a rust-proof screw. But just thought I'd be honest about the product and how it's going thus far. My only major qualm is that it doesn't have a stand to go with it... because I've been seating this on a counter near my sink and would like some more distance between the sink and the spigot so that bacteria isn't breeding in there.... that and it would be cool to have a tool to clean the spigot with.Like I said, still love the product and am in the midst of problem-solving the above "qualms" - and will post an update once I've found good solutions. BUT in the meantime, would love to hear if other customers have resolved the same issues so that I can save time.

I have had this for a couple of weeks now. I really like NOT having to haul and store bottles. It is easy enough to pour water into the top canister using a large pot. Like others, I have already had the overflow issue once but I was prepared for it. My setup uses a metal stand inside of a pan because I had a feeling that one day I was going to mess up and overfill. I was in a hurry and didn't lift the top canister to see how full the bottom canister was. I like the taste of the water very much and find myself drinking more water these days. The dog likes it also. It is a large footprint so I put it on an old nightstand that I reinforced with some poplar wood I had on hand. For filling large pots for spaghetti or potatoes, I put a stool in front of the filter and set the pot on the stool... works great. It did take several times of running water through it before the taste improved.

At the suggestion of another reviewer, after I had been using the filter for over a month, I checked inside the stainless steel faucet that comes with the filter. It was totally coated with black machine oil! Is it illegal to sell a product where it exposes people to carcinogens? There are other reviews mentioning this problem and it obviously has not been addressed by ProPur. In my mind, they are intentionally allowing people to be exposed to a health risk in exchange for profit. It makes me wonder if the filters are what they say they are ...etc. This is the last proPur product I will buy.

I ran water through the filter two times then we used it for drinking water and cooking .. it is wonderful! Love it .Update : have had this for almost a year now and we use it daily , the Proper King is amazing .. Love the filter and it is still holding up ... I do follow the manual directions and I do clean the filter as states in manual ... take care of the system and it will be a perfect product ... very pleased with the quality ....

This was very easy to put together and super easy to use. My whole family loves the super clean taste. I feel better knowing that all the junk has been filtered out. I do not see any scratches, dents or imperfections.

We have had this filter for about a month now, and we will never go back! We love it! It was easy to setup. It is large, which can be kind of difficult to position in the kitchen, but we found a place on the edge of our island and we have gotten used to it quickly. The water is delicious. It has no taste, no chlorine smell, it’s the best. We actually fill jugs of it to bring out with us rather than traditional bottled water because this is far superior. Plus, I feel good about my kids drinking this water.

I bought this particular brand because my research (and I research a lot) says it is one of the best in the country and it is! I've used it for almost a year and am very pleased. At first I thought the stainless steel spigot would leak but it does not. If water makes it to the floor it is my fault. This is some of the best tasting water.

The media could not be loaded.  Pros: Easy to put together, water straight from the tap is greatly improved and drinkable.Cons: Leaking from the middle seam, without being overfilled. It began today and for seemingly no reason. Seller has been emailed and waiting for a response.
