When moving large folders to drive there seems to be a 50/50 chance that I'll have success or just an empty folder after waiting 30 min to an hour transfer time

GarbageI bought 2 of these and they both failed while trying to load data onto them for the first time.Error said they needed to be re-formatted.PC was not able to re-format them saying that they were read only.DO NOT waste your money on these or any other so called cheap flash drives.Use SanDisk - they work the way they are supposed to, no errors, no problems.SanDisk cost a little more but at least they work...

When buying large capacity drives, do some research. All of your legit forums and review sites will tell you that any flash drive over 64gb will be USB3.0. If it is over 64gb and is listed as USB2.0, it is fake. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
