Flexible fit
Fits children and adults because of three varying lengths that easily slide over finger. Aluminum is flexible so that you can make it as a tight or loose of a fit as you want before taping around it to secure it or using the secure straps attached to it. Comfortable padding. Definitely can immobilize finger. Only drawback is that because of its flexibility, it can also tighten unexpectedly easily should it get pressed, and your fractured finger will definitely feel that.

Mallet Finger
My Doctor put an aluminum mallet splint on my finger that was very long and it was cutting into the web of my finger. So I found these and they're way better than the ones given to me by my doctor. I use the smallest one, because it allows me to bend my finger while keeping my finger tip straight. The only flaw is that it doesn't keep my finger tip straight enough. The foam material is not sturdy enough so my finger tip sinks in to it. I cut a small piece of coban wrap to put under my finger tip while inside the splint and that helped lift it to full extension. They should either add more foam to where the finger tip goes or bend the metal slightly upward to lift the finger tip. It's very important that the finger tip is lifted to a completely straight position so that your mallet finger heals perfectly straight. Make sure to keep it on for 6-8 weeks 24/7. That brings me to my last critique about it. Since it has foam in it you can't ever get it wet, because that'll cause your finger to get soggy wet and pale leading to skin irritation and possibly fungus. Good luck!

Easy to use
These came quickly and fit my daughter's finger well. She said the velcro straps helped her splint feel secure without being too tight on her knuckle. I was pleased that we got three for a great price and I'm glad they were comfortable for her.

Moldable and removable for washing hands
I needed a brace for a pinky finger that I snapped a tendon in; the small splint worked great and was easily removed for hand washing and such. Moldable and removable were the top features for me. Still using after one month.
