Red Heart Super Saver Bitty Stripes Crochet Yarn, Crayon Box, 2-Pack

I’ve been crocheting for decades. This yarn is a bit on the rough side coming off the skein, but it softens noticeably after being washed. It goes through washer/dryer cycles beautifully and just gets better with time. It’s a breeze to crochet with, uniform in width, absolutely does not split. Just four skeins worked up into a gorgeous afghan and I was using a pretty solid stitch. The yarn colors and color changes along the skein are superb making it fun to use. The only drawback I noticed was that one of the skeins did have several knots which are always annoying to have to deal with. Overall, though, still consider Bitty Stripes to be a VERY budget-friendly winner that would be appreciated by even the least experienced crocheter. I’ll definitely buy it again.

Very easy yarn to use in various projects. Did not experience any knots with the multiple skeins used. Made a blanket for my daughter with this yarn and she loves it. It’s one of the blankets she uses when taking a nap. It keeps her warm but not roasty, toasty. It has held up really well. Had no trouble with it retaining its shape. Pretty and relatively soft. Also was able to save money and only use 3 skeins instead of 4 or 5 that are usually used to make a twin sized blanket. Every blanket that I have made with Red Heart Yarn either for self or as a gift has worked up well. It is easy to wash and the colors do not bleed.

It's Red Heart Super Saver, I don't think it's unpleasant to work with but some people don't find it to be as soft as they would like. It does however soften up beautifully in the wash with a little fabric softener. I love this color way, it's beautiful! This yarn holds up and has great value for the money. It's tried and true.

Ahhh, these saturated colors! Love this Red Heart series of colorful frosted ombres, especially Crayon Box! You'll want to think of any- and everything you can make with it, and you may even go a little crazy when you see you've run out and don't have your favorite on hand. This yarn is my favorite -- so easy to work with, just the right medium weight, is consistent thickness throughout, and the threads stay together, a cinch with a 5mm hook. (Note: I read where some call it scratchy and have to disagree; it's just not one of the super-soft yarns you can find for wearables, but it's definitely not scratchy at all.You won't get any rash burn while working it, nor rubbed-up baby cheeks when they sleep on it.) Anyway, in testing it out, old doggo got a little blanket and spring collar -- yes, he's loved the glow-up -- and my dryer top got a colorful cozy, which I didn't know was a thing, but darn it if the yarn didn't inspire me, and now I smile as I fold. Ordering a few more skeins for more fun projects. BTW, I didn't filter the pics, so that's the untouched color. Have fun with it, especially beginners like myself! Current project: slippers in the Unicorn Mane shade, which are turning out beautifully, as well! 🧶🫶 Aaaand update: Unicorn Mane is delightful, too. Did good-sport doggo need this tank top? Probably not. Does my best friend love it? Two paws 🐾 up!

Another yarn from Red Heart that is pretty and colorful. I love Red Heart yarns because they don't split and are of good quality for a decent price. The yarns isn't too thick or too thin.

I bought 8 skeins to make a blanket that fits on the bottom of a queen bed. I used the shell stitch. Overall I absolutely love the color way Rainbow Mist. The colors are so pretty! The yarn feels a little more rough than other yarns I have used but the quality overall is good. On two of the skeins (out of 8) there were knots in the middle and that was extremely frustrating. I had to cut the yarn and piece it back together. Apart from that, I have no complaints about this yarn. I want to make another blanket in a different color!

I just love the colors and how they make my projects and wearables look. I am addicted to Bitty Stripes.
