Deliciously SWEET and packed with flavour...
These are delicious: they’re ready-cooked sweet red peppers, chargrilled so they're really packed with flavour. We’ve been buying this brand for a while, sometimes they’re more smokey in taste but the most recent batch had a well-rounded sweet pepper flavour that I love. The peppers come immersed in a water/vinegar solution rather than oil (you can’t taste or smell the vinegar) so they’re low in fat. They’re ready to use straight out the jar (don’t rinse them as the tasty chargrilled skins fall off) and in my experience they taste best chilled. You can add them to a dish but I recommend stirring them in at the end as you’ll lose some of the flavour if you cook them any further. They’re whole peppers so they’re quite big but you can just chop up as required. The peppers are tightly packed in the jar and they’re quite soft so sometimes they’re a little hard to remove without bits breaking off - it’s easier with a fork than a knife or tongs.Overall, very good. This is an incredibly versatile ingredient to elevate pretty much any meal - everything from sandwiches, wraps and burgers to main dishes like chicken, fish, pasta, rice, quinoa or lentils etc; great for adding a new dimension to a plain mozzarella pizza or for revamping leftovers.N o t e .This is a longlife product which usually comes with long expiry dates of approx 12 months+ (I had 2 years on the most recent box). The label says to refrigerate once opened and eat within 8 days but if you handle the contents hygienically, I find they last many weeks without spoiling.

Sweet, smokey and very soft...
These are delicious: they’re ready-cooked sweet red peppers, chargrilled so they're really packed with flavour. They’ve got much more of a smokey taste to them than other brands I’ve tried but I like it nonetheless. The peppers come immersed in a water/vinegar solution rather than oil (you can’t taste or smell the vinegar) so they’re low in fat. They’re ready to use straight out the jar (don’t rinse them as the tasty chargrilled skins fall off). They’re whole peppers so they’re quite big but you can just chop up as required... My only real criticism here is that the peppers are very very soft; other brands I've tried have been firmer and easier to handle.Overall, very good. This is an incredibly versatile ingredient to elevate pretty much any meal - everything from sandwiches, wraps and burgers to main dishes like chicken, fish, pasta, rice, quinoa or lentils etc; great for adding a new dimension to a plain mozzarella pizza or for revamping leftovers.N o t e . This is a longlife product but the label states to refrigerate once opened and eat within 8 days: in my experience the peppers stay fresh and taste the same for several weeks after opening.

A very tasty addition to any meal.
These peppers are very tasty and very useful.Perfect chopped up cold, in a salad. Or equally tasty added to any pasta, curry, or Chinese meal. The peppers themselves are soft and tender, with a mild flavour.Even if you think you don't like peppers, there's a good chance you'll like these.Ingredients wise, it's peppers, water, vinegar, sugar and salt.Sugar is sensibly low at 3.2%. Salt is medium at 1.1%.The pickling juice makes a good base for a salad dressing as well. The product is Turkish in origin.Overall, these are a very handy addition to your food cupboard. I always make sure I have a jar available.I hope you found this review helpful.

Good product let down by insufficient warehouse packing
The product is really good - quality material, tasty and with good flavour, just like homemade.PACKING: However the packing in the warehouse had been insufficient as a result a few jars arrived with damaged tops, one leaking out all the liquid. In the past there was a similar damage. Then I had to discard the content as the rim of the jar got damaged and side of it also was cracked. Though the set of six jars was carefully rapped in bubble pack, perhaps more packing around the jars, keeping them upright and cushioned as well as putting a sticker that will indicate that the content of the packet is fragile would help a lot in improving the situation.

Love these..
They come on a carboard tray covered in thick film. Good quality glass jars, and very tight lids, you'll need strong hands or a gadget to open.Full of flavour.Great chopped up in a pilaf, in salads, in soups, stews and casseroles of every conceivable description, on sandwiches with tuna, chicken or roasted meats. These are indispensible, and so thrilled I no longer have to travel miles and explore the bowels of densely stocked delis and Asian supermarkets any more. Obviously a lot cheaper back in Turkey, but transport costs, and we don't use as much or as many of them here, yet. Just thrilled to find tnem at an affordable price. They are a bit slimy, because they have been roasted and the outer skns removed. Some odd bits of blackened, roasted skin remain, but they just add smokiness to the flavour. They lose the crunch with the roasting , but that roasting enhances the flavour and makes them far more tender. They are lovely. Best to use them quickly once the bottle is opened. These are not stuffed with the tangy white cheese of the Med, feta or beyaz peynir, which are great in salads or as a mezze, tapas type side dish, but can be stuffed if you wish. I wouldn't bother. Just buy the stuffed version when you want them. Not everything you make in your own kitchen is the very best tasting and the cheapest. That's a western vanity. When real experts grow and prepare and sell speciality products, then don't hesitate, buy and eat the best.
