Bought this product 13 months ago. Used for my 13" Macbook Pro to use in my home office. Never dropped, spilled on, or broken in any way from consumer end, but one year in, the following ports have ceased to function: SD card reader, micro SD reader, and BOTH usb 2.0 ports. For now, the HDMI and usb C ports are still working, but only time will tell how long before those give out as well. Wish I had gotten a better product for my money's worth. 😔

Too expensive but does the job. Quality product just way over priced.

Product works as advertised, I wish rather than physically sitting plush with the MacBook, it was just a USB-C cable running into this. I have a Thule case, and I had to buy extension pieces for this to work properly. Besides that, it's absolutely a great product. I can connect USB devices, charge it, and connect my TV via HDMI.

this product is ok, However I use a Wacom tablet that requires an HDMI slot, most of the time my Wacom screen does not connect unless I fiddle with the connection a lot or keep plugging it out and back in. This to me is very annoying and unsatisfying. Also if this product shifts then your hard drive also gives you a message that it was not disconnected properly. Other than that I think its useful to have all these connections .. as long as they work when you need them to.

While these things that plug directly into the side of the computer without using a cable look like a good idea, I found that it wobbled around a fair bit, and I was worried that it would be ruining the USB -C ports of my MacBook Pro with all the wobbling. The unit ran very hot when I had the video cable plugged in and driving my 4K monitor, and after a while the video output failed and didn't produce any more output. I returned it for a refund.

This was exactly as described and did everything iI needed it to do. Great product!

Great compact well put together accessory for MacBooks with only 2 USB Lighting connections.

I have not used this product yet. It does look like it will solve all of apples USB deficiencies. Still don't know why Apple removed the safe mag charging as well as keeping at least 1 traditional USB slot. Once I use it I will update my review.
