Use outside of drawers as well!
I purchased this to use as it’s intended but changed my mind as I needed additional plugs outside of the cabinet so that’s where we installed it. Worked perfectly and now I can use my KitchenAid without moving it across the counter. I will say there wasn’t a template for the hole you have to cut to install this and there’s not much of a lip to cover any errors and I am no professional. I love that you can charge devices as well!

In our new kitchen, my wife wanted me to remove my “counter of doom” and put my wallet, keys and phone into a drawer out of site. This nifty little socket makes the drawer a spot for keys, Apple Watch, phones, wallet.. out of sight and a cleaner look.

Cord is thick and may not recoil to original shape.
Looks good so far. The cord is not retractable; it is just a coil shape. The cord does not return to its original coiled shape like an old fashion phone cord. It stretches and flattens but when the slack is removed, it is not exactly as it was in the original coil. This was a key feature we needed for our project.
