This is a really fun cookbook with LOTS and lots of beautiful pictures for each recipe. Delightful family stories about the recipes too. If you like Babs on social media, or know someone who does, this would make such a great gift. I find most of the recipes are easy to follow and not a lot of ingredients you wouldn't ordinarily have. I did invest in the spiral bound. So nice to keep the pages open to the place you want them to be. But I am also a hoarder of cookbooks. They are my passion. I LOVE to hold a cookbook and read the recipes. I also make notes on each page when I test a recipe while I "rate" it for ease of cook, taste and family reaction/suggestions. Can't do that when you just read a recipe on your phone. :) I would highly recommend this cookbook. One of Babs' best hints I've found was to scoop ice cream into cupcake papers inside of muffin pan - then put back into the freezer. When it's party time, take them a couple of minutes before serving, stick cones on the scoops and pass them out. Perfect!! She's a lot of fun and a great story teller/recipe provider. Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. This is a perfect gift especially for a Babs fan! The recipes are amazing. I bought this for my daughter on here because I had my younger daughter pre order it from a different site but when we received it the box was completely empty so they replaced it but we needed it before the replacement could arrive so we ended up with a copy of it as well. We highly recommend the cookie but it has a ton of great recipes and stuff in it. My girls love Babs and now so do I. Definitely a great book for someone who loves to cook!

This is a must have cookbook, I have made two recipes a week since I got this. Babs also includes time saving tips which is great, who doesn't like less time in the kitchen. This would also make a great gift, I prefer a hard copy cookbook, each recipe has a photo of the completed dish. I am glad I purchased it just wish I had done so sooner.

I love Babs, but the book was not for me. Ideal for a new cook who wants to prepare crowd pleasing meals. I tried a few recipes. They were all good starting points, but needing jazzing up IMO. I gave this to a friend who really appreciates it!

Every recipe comes with a photo of the finished dish, which is something I always look for in a cookbook. Instructions are clear, and you won't have to look in 27 different ethnic market for the ingredients to make them. I look forward to cooking my way through this book. Purchased one for myself and one as a gift for a beginner cook I know will enjoy it.

My first love is God, my second is my family, and my third is food!! This cookbook is the PERFECT combination of simple, yet fun recipes to make. As a mom to a busy and picky toddler and a newborn, this cookbook was my gift to myself freshly postpartum! There are few things I enjoy more than cooking for my family, but it is hard to always find the time to cook an elaborate meal. These recipes are the perfect balance of simple, yet enjoyable to cook. I LOVE that the recipes don’t require too much “hands on” work once it’s in the pot/oven. With a toddler and newborn, I need to be able to step away from dinner to tend to them once in a while. No standing over a stove Caramelizing onions for me these days! Not only are the recipes delicious, they fill my “self care” cup of enjoying a hobby and feeding my family. My picky eater has even enjoyed almost every recipe I’ve made so far! Thank you for creating a cookbook tailored to meet me exactly where I’m at in this beautiful, busy stage of life!

I’ve been following babs for years on social media. This cookbook is what you would expect from her; easy to follow, organized and throughout shows her warm personality. I’ve tried a handful of recipes from it and we’ve enjoyed each one. Easy to understand and follow and I like the format for each day she suggests.

What a wonderful, practical cookbook. We are five recipes deep and every single one has been a hit with our family and easy to incorporate into our day as a working mom. Don’t overlook this gem.
