Disco Ball Motor Rotating with Light: Rechargeable Disco Ball Spinner

The disco ball light works just as advertised for me. The battery life is actually pretty good. I've been using it quite a bit for around three or so hours most nights, and it's fine. Seems as robust as most electronic items these days, which is pretty good. For the limited thing I use it for, it was a good value, I think. Remember it doesn't come with the ball, so you do have to buy one, which is exactly what they say in the description of the item.

We used this for a birthday party and it worked great! It added a really fun and bright ambiance to the room. I love that you can hang this up and it has it's own lights and remote to control it. All in one!

I am updating my review and adding 1 more star. Tonight I turned on the spinner and lights for my wind spinners, and they look so cool with the green, blue, and red lights shining on them that I felt they deserved better than 3 stars. But you can read my original review following as to the few shortfalls I still think they have. I had incredibly high hopes that this would be a significant improvement to a rechargeable wind spinner motor I had bought less than 2 years ago and that has already failed. This was the only USB-C port rechargeable spinner motor I could find and it's not cheap - so I expected it to have quality features. Unfortunately its features are a disappointment and the reason I left only 3 stars. To begin with, the remote has to be held within a couple of feet of the unit in order for the spinner to respond to the remote - my previous spinner could be 20 feet away from the remote and would respond to the remote's commands. The next disappointment is the spin speed. The instructions say there are 3 speeds (5rpm, 10rpm, and 15rpm). The best this spin motor will do is 10, maybe 11 rpm. I bought 2 of these spin motors and the results are the same with both. I have two different wind spinners attached to these motors - one is much lighter than the other. There was no discernable difference in spin speed associated with the weight of the spinners attached to the motors. I have the spin motors attached to a solar panel that allows for a USB-C connection and that allows the spin motors to stay charged up. This spin motor is the only one I could find that allows this setup. This is why I will be keeping these. However, at a cost of $40 with tax, these are very pricy considering the limited and less than great features.

Wish this had a longer life span. Got it in June and now just won’t spin at all. The lights work but the motor inside is not the best quality.

After charging daily, we ran it every night the week of Halloween. 2-3 hours each night and it never went dead. Ours is outside in the picture but we brought it inside at bedtime. It is not water resistant. Didn’t want to mislead you by photo. Would work great for a bedroom or classroom. Just know, it does not come with the disco ball. That has to be bought separately. I didn’t realize it and had to quickly get that shipped. It is lightweight. We just used an outdoor command strip to hang.

Happy with this product. Disco ball was in great condition and motor worked fine. I used a back up charger for my cell phone and it worked all night. Happy with the product. Would recommend.

Does not hold charge, even when not in use. This becomes a real hassle if you have to recharge it every time you want to use it, because the batter just dies after not using it for a day or two. It may last longer if you switch off the unit with the physical switch, but I have no motivation to do that with a ten foot ceiling every time I need it. Lasts about an hour or two when fully charged, which takes at least overnight. After about 30 uses, the motor gave up. Now it’s just lights.

I liked the idea of not running wires across the ceiling. I'm okay with taking it off the ceiling hook to recharge the batteries. I haven't had it long enough to comment on run time or durability, but it's very pretty and silent in a dark room. Four modes: rotation only, white light only, colored light only, or rotation with colored lights. The remote control is convenient too. Worth the price.

I like that it's rechargeable as I've positioned it nowhere near any power outlets. Sound activation is sensitive enough and the speed options are good and can be used on all spin modes. I'm using an 8 inch ball which it spins round with ease. There's options to use with lights on or off so you can use with an external light source too.

the primary and most preferred white disco light has absolutely no spinning function ~ this was the biggest drawback tbh I was so excited but I can still work with this ~ idk if anyone else experienced something different but yah I just wished the white light disco spinning feature…spun~~~
