Excellent value for money and easy to use
Absolutely love this! I don't like the 'pod' coffee machine because pods are expensive and bad for the environment, so I opted for this one. So far I can say it is excellent value for money! I work with the industrial type coffee machines, so obviously this feels different; lighter, and clearly cheaper, but that is to be expected, of course. Nevertheless, it does exactly what it's meant to, and makes a great coffee; very close to actual barista coffee. It's very easy to use, so even if you've never used this type of machine, it's super easy to get the hang of. Grinder is also perfect, and it comes with everything you need. My only (mild) criticisms are that a) it's a little more noisy than I expected when you're using it, and vibrates quite loudly and b) the cups that come with it are very tiny, maybe it's just my eyesight, but i was expecting something closer to mugs; they're just espresso cups. Overall, I would highly recommend this if you're looking to invest in a little machine, but don't want to splash out too much!

Make café quality coffee with this fantastic five star machine
Bought this machine as our old one broke and we needed a new one. So so impressed with the quality of it. The kit comes with everything you need (including a bean grinder which really does make a difference compared to already ground stuff!) and is built to last. We really liked the little "helpful tips" stickers that are on different parts of the machine (don't worry they are also very easy to remove!) as they guide you through the set up and there were things we wouldn't have thought of when putting it together. My wife is a trained barista (not barister, unfortunately) and declared that it was the only machine she has used that can make coffee as well as a café or restaurant. She removed the cover on the milk frother so that it was just a metal "straw" as she said this results in a silkier milk because the bubbles are far smaller - she was right! Really does work a treat and worth every penny in our opinion. Our daughter is now addicted to "Babyccinos"!

So I should preface this saying that I do actually work for Costa
It's a pretty decent machine given the price point, and definitely better than having just standard instant coffee at home - I do work at Costa so my only comparison can be with the professional ones we use there. Edit: August 2022 - So, I 've had this machine going on 10 months now and can say I've so far faced zero issues with it, seems so long as you properly maintain and clean the machine, you're good to go! Everything else in my review still stands though and I will add you should get rid of that crappy small jug and just buy a better one with a more defined spout as it makes all the difference with pouring! The machine does have a 'cheapish' feel to it with it being made mostly of plastic and thin sheet metal, the coffee basket doesn't friction fit into the head meaning it's always just slightly loose which for tamping isn't good as you need to be able to twist as you tamp to evenly apply pressure but if you do you'll also just turn the coffee basket. The water comes out a bit too quickly and not under enough pressure, so if you're used to medium blend coffee, you'll likely prefer to have 4/5 strength coffee or make sure you tamp the ground down firmly. The machine its self needs to either be weighted or have suction cup feet on the bottom as when you go to lock in the coffee head if you're not also holding the base of the machine down you'll kinda just nudge and move the machine :P As for the steam arm, you are honestly better just getting rid of that plastic attachment - I don't really know why it's there as if you want to steam, texture or froth milk correctly having a massive wide nozzle is a bad idea :P the steam arm should've been full metal and about twice as long so it could reach the bottom of the jug for correctly steaming milk. You can make cappuccinos and flat whites with this, which obviously in turn means you can make most other types of coffee :P Now I know it seems like I'm mostly complaining, and again my only comparison is the machines we use at work, which cost like 10x the amount and have high pressure steam tanks built in. So considering that, with this only being around £150 for at home coffee it's fantastic. There are some adjustments I want to make, but for my daily fix when I'm not at work, I'm really pleased with it!

A really great coffee machine.
I held off reviewing this machine for a few weeks until I'd given it good testing. After about 3 weeks of use, I'm really impressed. It was very easy to set up and seems really sturdy. It came with all the bits and pieces you need plus cleaning tools and replacement seals. The instructions were really simple to follow too. I've found the separate coffee bean grinder to work really well as does the built-in milk steamer. I was a little dubious when I purchased it due to the lower price but I'm absolutely thrilled with this great little machine! I can now drink perfect espressos, cappuccinos, and coffee shop-style drinks for a fraction of the price.
