Doesn't automatically relock
I bought these for the restrooms in my RV park. The problem is, when you put the combination in to enter and the door closes behind you the door doesn't relock automictically. Allowing anyone to enter after you. Which makes the useless. In order to relock the door you need to pull up on the handle after entering. Most people don't do that. Had I known that I would have purchased other locks. Other than that they seem to be constructed well.

Works fine after difficult installation
The lock is heavy and seems sturdy. For the price, it works well. I have it installed on a door between the kitchen and garage, so it is not exposed to the elements, I can't speak to its performance when exposed to the weather. I bought the lock mainly because my 96 year-old mother-in-law would sometimes forget her key and we didn't want to hide one in the garage where someone might find it. She still has a good memory for numbers, but that really isn't necessary with this lock, since the buttons are spatial, and once the pattern is learned, it stays with you whether you remember the numbers or not. Another cool thing is that the combination is insensitive to the order in which you push the buttons. So, you can put them in in any order, or even two at a time, like playing chords on a piano. Now for the problems: During installation I found that two of the threaded shafts that the screws went into were stripped. It was as if the lock had been returned by someone else and they had cross-threaded the screws. Even though there are little plastic tubes to help align the screws with the threaded inserts, doing so is still a challenge. I don't think that the pitch of the threads on the inserts exactly match the screws. I recommend a little spray of WD-40 before you start. The provided template for drilling the door is next to useless. After installing the lock, I found that I had to go back and enlarge some of the screw holes to allow a little more play to align the screws. In theory, changing the combination should be easy. But, when you remove the screws that hold on the outer plate, allowing you access to the inner buttons so that you can change the code by rearranging them, you again face the challenge of correctly inserting the screws into the threaded inserts and not cross-threading them. That's a pain. So, overall, I'd give the lock 4 stars, because it is sturdy and it works, although it has some installation issues.

Exactly what I wanted
I wanted a lock for my detached shop that I didn't need a key for, and that didn't contain any electronics. This fills the bill. It has a solid build and feel and is easy to use. It was simple to install as the instructions were very clear. Setting the combination is easy as well. I like the fact that it doesn't lock itself, but locking it is as easy as lifting the lever.

Dont buy..
I bought 4 of these 2 years ago and they are nothing but junk, anyone can push the handle down and walk right in after a while because there is some part inside that must get bent after awhile and it stays locked but you can still open the door I would look for something different.

Not recommended for high traffic applications
We have installed around 30 of these in the last year. We have had to handles break off in the last week.
