Although this looks a little weird and is fairly simple, it has been a great training aid with multiple players in our little league. A few boys needed help learning proper throwing mechanics and this worked very well with some coaching to illustrate better arm placement. We have found an unexpected benefit that this is a great tool for working with players who tend to throw sidearm. When we have used this with our stronger sidearm throwers, we use it the opposite way that it was intended and we have the boys try to hit the end of the plastic arm instead of avoid it. This helps to make the boys aware of when they drop their arm and has improved their velocity tremendously. Sometimes something so simple just works really well at training more complex concepts. I will continue to use this with my players and encourage proper throwing mechanics. Also, one of the founders is a great guy who handles service and follow-up personally. If you want to help your players throw with better mechanics, get one of these and be pleasantly surprised by the results.

Hard to put on at times but worth it for results. Currently fixes my son’s and daughter’s throw. For my son i have him try to touch the tip so he picks up his throw.

This product says in 30 minutes you would see improvements. That was a total lie! I saw improvement in 10 minutes of using this product. I know I'm partial but my son could throw the ball good. I thought! Until he used the head coach! He could throw the ball on a line from short stop to first no problem. Now he's throwing the ball from middle outfield to the pitcher on a line and popping the glove every single time! Do not hesitate to buy this for your child even if they can throw good already! This had made my kid throw harder and farther and ACCURATELY! So glad I bought this!

I went to the product's website to see how this thing is supposed to work. On the homepage, it says "two things are indisputable when it comes to the proper mechanics. 1. A player’s elbow should be at or slightly above shoulder height, and 2. The wrist must be outside of the elbow. If the wrist is inside the elbow it forces the hand into an unnatural throwing position, and the only way to compensate for the incorrect hand position is to drop the elbow." The problem is, these things are disputed by many pitching instructors.First, when the elbow is above the shoulder it creates a problem called "elevated distal humerus," which adds stress to the shoulder and/or elbow.Second, when does the wrist get "inside" the elbow? When pitching (or throwing anything harder than a toss), the arm slots so that the wrist and arm are basically level with the shoulders. The wrist cannot get inside the elbow at release. If they are talking about having the ball cocked with the wrist inside the elbow just before layback, that is actually what you want to happen. Otherwise, you have a problem called "forearm flyout," which puts unnecessary stress on the arm.There is a video of kids throwing with this device on the HeadCoach "How It Works" page, Almost all throw with an elevated distal humerus and forearm flyout when they wear the device. Many pitching instructors blame these types of disconnections for much of the arm pain and injuries occurring to pitchers from the MLB down to youth baseball. You may want to do some homework before buying this product. Google "elevated distal humerus" and "forearm flyout,"

Good quality but not a cure all device. Only helps train your player to keep their hand and arm away from their head. If that's your problem than perhaps this is the right product for you. Directions and instructional videos are not very detailed.

Didn’t know what I was getting when I ordered this. All I knew was my 8 year old threw weird and my husband was frustrated because he couldn’t help fix him, and I was frustrated because they were frustrated! This thing is like magic. It looks a little odd, but who cares!? My son doesn’t want to take it off. He throws like baseball player now. It’s been 2 months and the way he throws is totally different. It made him change the way he throws, but in a good way. Easy to put on, easy to adjust. YouTube videos make it very clear how to use.

Decent product. It's not a fix all for throwing.
