A good little frother
I purchased the Cafe Casa Professional Dual Speed Milk Frother after I broke my Norpro Glass Master Frother carafe for the second time. I loved the way the Norpro performed but the carafe is just too fragile so I decided to try the Cafe Casa. This frother requires two AA batteries that are not included. When I received the frother and put batteries in it the frother immediately started. It is supposed to have a low speed position, a high speed position, and an off position. I tried to turn it off but was not able to figure out how without taking out the batteries. Luckily another purchaser had the same issue with her frother and explained how she solved the issue in the comments. I was able to make the same adjustment and the frother has turned off fine since then. As far as performance, this little gadget does exactly what it claims to do. It froths cold milk (I actually use cream) in just a few seconds. The cream does need to be cold and the container does seem to need to be cold as well to produce a creamy, lasting froth. I do not have a stainless steel pitcher and am able to produce adequate froth in a small ceramic pitcher, but I'm considering purchasing a stainless pitcher to see if it improves the quality of the froth and how long it lasts. Clean up is a snap--I just run the wand under warm water and sometimes swish in soapy water. The wand does not come off of the motor part of the frother and the motor cannot be immersed in water. All in all I am very satisfied with this purchase.

Brilliant whether making lattes or frothing Matcha green tea in under 30 seconds!
I have an aversion to little gadgets that are just cheap widgets you might buy on impulse and then they either break after a few uses or end up unused in a drawer. So i bought this with more than a little apprehension, but encouraged by so many positive reviews. After owning it a short time, I can confidently say it is an amazing little product. It froths milk as well as my huge Cappuccino machine that shoots out superheated steam, though it takes a few seconds longer and doesn't superheat the milk at the same time. Other than that, super frothy. I use whole milk which has a higher fat content and the results are amazing. What really made me look for a device like this wasn't for frothing milk at all but actually was for mixing Matcha tea. I enjoy green tea and have been trying to drink more of it especially for the impressive cancer fighting studies of the EGCG catechins tea contains. Matcha is reported to be 100 times more potent, but getting the powdered tea leaves to mix sufficiently in 160 degree water was a small challenge. The traditional bamboo whisk is slow and can foster bacteria growth over time. A metal mixer like this is frowned on as untraditional by purists. I'm all about efficiency and results over tradition, though it would be a mood kill in a Japanese tea ceremony to use a buzzing frother no doubt. Used for that purpose, this thing rocks as well! Same with anyone who uses Spirulina algae powder and knows it is total frustration trying to get it do dissolve in water. This product works great. One thing I am very concerned about is the fact that the wand is not removable. While not fragile, it's long body seems to beg to be knocked over if stored upright, or to be bent if stored in a drawer with other utensils rumbling around it. Once bent it won't operate properly as it's brief documentation points out, and can't be replaced. Fortunately, it comes in a sturdy cardboard container. DON"T INSTINCTIVELY THROW IT AWAY. I plan to keep the frother stored in the box to try to preserve it's longevity and utility. One final word that I hope won't get me flamed with negative review votes by the marketers. If you look through Amazon you'll notice this same exact frother is marketed under several names, and the price among them varies as much as five dollars or around 25%. That's not a lot but still something to be aware of since several also have Prime delivery so shipping is not the difference in the price point. Whether you're making Lattes or trying to dissolve tea or other powder effectively, you'll be impressed at how well this stainless steel frother works. Hopefully it will have a relatively long life and keeping it stored securely seems like a good idea.UPDATE: Within 10 minute of submitting my review, I received an e-mail from the sellers thanking me for a thorough review but also stating that if the wand of the unit does bend or does not function properly, that they will "gladly replace it". Wow, that's a highly motivated marketer! On that note, I can only add now that even if this unit costs a dollar or two more than others on Amazon, this correspondence would make me favor this supplier! No, I'm not connected with them in any way, I did pay for this frother and I have hundreds of reviews written for authenticity reference. ;)

Satisfactory for home use
This was the second milk frother I purchased. The first one, another brand, did not work right and was not powerful enough either so I had to return it. Found this one and tried it. I am keeping this one. The Cafe Casa works and has more power than the first brand I tried. However, it is not as powerful as the ones used in the coffee shops. This is why I gave it 3 stars. Maybe I expect too much but I love lattes. This is what I use it for is to make lattes. This frother suffices for me since I cannot spend a whole lot of money on a milk frother. There are more expensive milk frothers. I do not know if they are better than this or just higher priced. All I can say is that this one may be satisfactory for most people's home use to save money. I do love how it is all stainless steel and very simple to clean. I have just been rinsing the wand in hot water. Turn on the frother under the water just for about 5 seconds to clean it off and then set the frother on the counter long enough to air dry. Have been storing it in the original box so I can protect the wand from getting bent.
