Works great with Crayola Air Dry Clay! This is my first time throwing pottery on a wheel so from a beginner view this worked very well for me. The only issues I had were due to my own inexperience in centering the clay on the wheel which is not the wheel’s fault. I used air dry clay from crayola and it worked well. There is a helpful review of this wheel on youtube by an experience potter and she gave it a good review and some helpful hints on working with the air dry clay. I would highly recommend this wheel because it worked well for the price point and came with all the accessories you will need including air dry clay, tools, paint/brushes, water bowl and clay cutters/tools. Throwing clay on a wheel has a learning curve and this wheel is a budget friendly way to see if you are going to enjoy this craft.

Unfortunately, the box I received was obviously a repackaged one. Everything was a bit dusty/misshapen and several of the accessories were missing (There was no Gold Flakes, no silicone spoons, and no scraper). It isn't great that some items were missing, but the resin and hardener were present and I guess that's the important part. instructions were clear. I will update after it cures if anything worth noting appears. Update: does not dry clear, dries amber in color. I should have guessed that it wouldn't be clear when the hardener was already yellow when coming out of the box, but I was hopeful. There are comparably priced kits with better quality product. I don't recommend this one.

For a light-weight pottery wheel under $100, I'm impressed. I've now purchased 5 of these so I can start giving classes at different locations. The wheel itself performs very well for its size and motor power. Not too loud compared to other brands. I've received all my orders in very good time. The free tools it comes with are OK. A little lower quality than similar kits you can buy separately, but still get the job done. The other accessories are a nice addition. Not wild about the paint set, but I didn't buy this for the paint. The air dry clay included has come in different stages of drying across the 5 sets I've purchased. If it comes soft, it works ok on the wheel. I prefer to use Crayola Air Dry Clay, it feels just like the natural clays used in pottery that have to be fired. Overall, if you are looking for an inexpensive way to see if pottery on the wheel is for you, before investing in larger wheels and a kiln, I highly recommend this wheel and Crayola Air Dry Clay to use with it.

Our whole experience with the order was not good at all. Firstly, we didn’t bother reaching out to the seller, or Amazon, because we would have had to deal with the hassle of the exchange, since it’s a higher priced item. Secondly, the Amazon delivery driver left the package outside of the apt complex office during office hours, when multiple people were cruising in and out… I mean jeebus, are they trying to have the package stolen?? Third, okay… product issues: One of the packages of clay was busted open and dried out. The catch trays were cracked, not badly, but chipped off where it’s supposed to connect at the top. One of the paints (the gold) was not sealed at the bottom, and leaked on other paints. Super disappointing, and did not meet expectations at all. To the seller: Your warehouse is too hot where you are storing this product, you should choose a different location to store them. Otherwise, the product was suitable and easy to use.

I am a beginner at pottery so trying to get used to it. It’s easy to use doesn’t go too fast for me. Value for money. Only thing is I didn’t like the clay it came with could be me because I am used too using air drying clay so I will use it for other projects.

As a complete beginner to pottery, I find this kit provides all the key items necessary to get started. I appreciate the placement of the container for water, on the unit's body. This is welcome, due to limited workspace. My long term plans are to create minature items, therefore the size and power of the wheel, should not be a factor. I think for the price and what is included in this kit, this is a great choice for beginners.

Leider war der luftgetrocknete Ton schon beim Auspacken steinhart, Damit konnte man nichts mehr anfangen. Schade! Die Enkelin konnte die Töpferscheibe so nicht ausprobieren.

Absolut enttäuschend da war ein amerikanischer stromstecker dabei gar nicht zu verwenden das war ein Geschenk und das war voll peinlich das ist nicht verwendet werden konnte

The pottery wheel looks good, but I had to buy a new charger to convert the plug (chinese to uk) - which cost £9. Plus one of the airdry clay pieces was dry and unusable (the seal was broken). I am not sure how to remedy this as its hard to get feedback to seller. Overall the items look worth the money but there are these two issues!
